Fleece judge at MOPACA rewarded him a 1st place most notable score was a 19/20 for fineness on a 2 yr olds fleece! Wrangler's fleece is very grey now (2015) despite the brown tips. Looks close to medium silver but has enough brown in to still be in the rose grey classes. Wrangler is an amazing all around top knotch alpaca. His sire is JJA Royal Adonis who has many blue ribbon and color champ. offspring in just about every color. The dam is a msg/mrg Fire N'Ice daughter. The fleece is tight bundles of super softness with the density we have come to expect in Adonis offspring. Very straight and stocky and with presence galore. His staple length is amazing, just like Papa. Wrangler has the best of the Royal Fawn line males, 4Peruvian Black Magic, CPeruvian Silvio, Fire-N-Ice along with his fantastic Bay Black sire Royal Adonis and silver dam Hope. Since most of our darker females are closely related to Wrangler through his sire a 1/2 ownership would be nice since I want to retain the Fire N Ice retained fineness in the herd. In a very tough class this fall 2013, Wrangler took a 1st. His micron came in at 17.5 which is typically awesome of the dark Adonis offspring.

This girl is solid. Love her perfect conformation and color but it was her super fine fiber that caught my attention. I look forward to breeding her to my studs that are consistently putting out high frequency crimp and density along with nice consistency. We bred Lacey to Wrangler our dark rose grey with blk and silver parents. We got a fawn with white markings like a grey. Have never had this coloration in 17 years but we had 2 this year that look sooo much alike we call them the twins and they are tight buds even though male and female. It was a long maiden birth as he was almost 22 lbs. His head kept going back in but finally with some help, he was here! We thought we would lose him several times in this 2 hr process so we named him Wrangler's Revival and call him River. He has a gorgeous head with big black eyeliner eyes and is super correct conformationally. Of course he was supposed to be grey. He has some mottled fawn so kinda of appy look but not distinct spots. Fiber is supreme! Will probably keep him for a show stringer. We bred her to Preacher for a '21 cria. She delivered yet another light fawn male which is so not like the sire's and grandsire's color output. Oh well, I bred her to Seismic who has only ever made black and grey except for a maroon female out of a light fawn girl which was her darkest cria ever. Couldn't ask for a healthier Mom and cria. No issues with her 2nd birth that was also 21 lbs. Seismic came through for us and Lacey delivered a stunning, huge rose grey-maybe silver boy. 22 lbs. Very healthy. Lacey will have a year off from pregnancy. Lacey fooled us in thinking she was pregnant by Seriously Silver. We just bred her today to our guy Polson who is 2nd generation Orlando Cloud grandson and his dam was the epitomy of a foundation girl. Polson made msg when bred to lsg so here's hoping this breeding sticks.

Description

Wrangler's Revival (River) is so sweet and smart. I think halter training will be a breeze with him. His fiber is simply amazing. He has plenty of rose grey lineage with the top of his dam certificate bragging with Crescent Moon's Rayo Del Sol, Royo's Roso E Grigio and then Cloud Dancer's Masquerade. Masquerade's dam was the Augusto daughter L. Peruvian Linen & Lace. All rose grey. His sire Wrangler's dam had 3/5 silver grey. True black is the next strength. Both of River's parents possess fineness into middle age and wonderful handle. Great density too! I'm hoping to keep this one. River had his first opportunity for a breeding (too many girls and studs) on July 2, 2024 and knew just what to do and it was an excellent breeding with the girl that was born around the same time as him and looked so much alike we referred to them as the Twins. See the photo. His fleece is beautiful light fawn and is long, crimpy, and dense. I'll try and get a current fleece photo. He can use more time on lead but is otherwise easy to handle.' Update: The girl River bred passed away from the combo of ulcer/barberpole. River needs a refresher in halter/lead but he was just handled without for toenail trimming and stayed perfectly still. He is a big boy and should make excellent babies. Or, just love on him and use his fiber for insanely nice yarn! He is intimidated by the older males even though he is now bigger than some. He comes up to me looking for extra treats away from them. Will probably be a good PR guy in a smaller herd. Price was lowered by 1K today 3/16/25! Pair him with another for more discount. I really need to get herd numbers down.
