From the day he was born we knew he was special. He should have been. His mother is one of our best Pucara Allegro females, Pucara Guinivere, and his father is Pucara Kahuna. Allegro put 39 champions into the Aussie show ring of which 17 won Best In Show. Allegro's sire Pperuvian Accoyo Cadete put 24 champions into the show ring with 18 winning best in Show. Hanapepe's sire Pucara Kahuna wowed them winning two Get of Sire's at AWE 2007 and the IAO 2007 plus third at the Nationals. His cria won ribbon after ribbon.He swept the 2008 Nationals production classes with his kids winning get of Sire, Breeders Best Three, along with Male and Female Bred and Owned Yearlings. He won the Nationals Get in 2009 plus the Futurity Light herdsire of the Year. Hanapepe won a third ribbon at AWE 2007, a fifth ribbon at The 2007 Futurity and as he got some size to him he came in second at the Nationals to our Pucara Herradurra. He went on to win first and champion at the Futurity in 2008 and won white male champion at the 2008 Nationals. He is the style of suri that will get better with age. He displays all the desired suri traits in abundance...extreme greasy luster, even solid locking and a typical knock them dead Kahuna head. He's soft to the handle and exhibits coverage to the ground on a stocky frame. Hanapepe is a boy that represents a combination of genetics you won't get anywhere else supported by the fact of science...he is near the top in every trait tested which is rare!..

**AS DESCRIBED BY PREVIOUS OWNER** This boy is everything I could hope for. He is a son of 9x Judges Choice WLK Electrofyre out of SBS Accoyo Narissa, one of Jim Barker's showgirls. Mike Wilkins says he's "really, really nice". Dense, lustrous, lots of coverage, greasy handle. At 15 months old this boy is living up to his potential - just loaded with fiber to die for. Home for the winter hoping to put on the pounds. He's put all his energy into that coat. Now he needs to have a bit of a growth spurt and he'll be hard to beat. 2017 Histogram - Check it out. 20.88 micron! ___________________________________________________________ What a great addition to our herd sire barn!! This Electrofyre son was hiding out on a farm in Virginia. He has a lovely soft fleece, with nice regrowth, good conformation and a pleasant demeanor. His EPDs aren't too shabby either!! We do A LOT of research before purchasing our animals and they must 'check all the boxes' for us to bring them home. Intrepid has enormous potential for our breeding program. He is yet unproven, so we are eager to get his breeding career started!! **Sept 2024** Intrepid has completed his first breeding...FINALLY!! He was a natural and got the job done! We are waiting for positive confirmation, and we have our fingers and toes crossed! He is the sweetest male and we really hope he passes that personality to his offspring...along with his beautiful fleece!! He was bred to Ivory, one of our Hanapepe daughters, so this has the potential for something fabulous. I don't think there has been a Hanapepe x Electrofyre cross to date...how exciting this is!!

While we could never replace our special girl, Carina, we CAN replace her genetic potential in our herd and that is exactly what we set out to do this year......Enter Taha's Ivory! Ivory was a special find for us. I mentioned to a fellow alpaca breeder that we were looking for a specific set of genetics in a younger female, and what do you know....she knew someone, who knew someone, who had exactly what we were looking for!! Ivory is a fantastic female carrying the genetics of Pucara Hanapepe, one of our favorites! (And the genetics we were hoping to replace!) Her fleece and EPD stats are OUTSTANDING! Ivory has back-to-back top 1% EPDs in 2019, 2020 AND 2021. She is maintaining her excellent fleece characteristics as she ages, and that is really important to us and to our breeding program. We are looking forward to many years of beautiful crias from Miss Ivory.!! **SEPT 8, 2022** Ivory and Pacesetter knocked this one out of the park!! A fantastic male cria with phenomenal fleece! This pair is a really good match and we can't wait to see the outcome next fall! **September 2023 UPDATE** Ivory delivered a stunning 16.0 lb. white female on Sept. 14. She looks very promising! Ivory's cria was born before we got home from work, was all dry and had eaten plenty when we discovered her. We love it when the natural course of things takes place on its own. Ivory is a great mom and has lots of milk! This is Pacesetters last cria, so we are feeling mixed emotions today. Happy for a healthy female cria, but sad that we can't produce any more offspring from Pace. We are hoping for good things from this lovely girl though. **Fall 2024** We are going out on a limb with our next cria for Ivory, but it is exciting!! We have decided to pair her with our Electrofyre son, Intrepid "Bubba." This will be Bubba's first cria and we are hoping for something really special!! The pedigrees lining up for this one are stellar!!
