HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 303557DOB: 9/17/200519 yrs
This multiple Blue Ribbon winner has everything we want in a herdsire: crimp, fineness, bundling and density, and the judges agree. He has Caligula bloodlines from his Sire's side and Peruvian Snowmaster from his Dam's side. Snowmass Highland Belle, his Dam, took First Place in Produce of Dam at the Great Western Alpaca Show 2006 by showing her two sons, Stewart's St. John and the Invincible Nathaniel. St. John is an outstanding addition to our herd and started his breeding career in 2009. He has settled 2 females and his first cria is due in Fall 2010. He is available for outside breedings at Stone Bluff Farm at the introductory price of $800. We offer drive by breedings or 60 days free board for your female if you choose to leave her on our farm and full reproductive guarantees. Please call us for more information or to schedule your breeding. Fleece sample available upon request.

Brookhollow's Aria

HuacayaOpen (Female)White, Medium Brown
AOA# 1028270DOB: 10/1/200420 yrs
If you are a new breeder and want to start out with an exceptionally fine production female or if you are an established breeder wanting to improve the quality of your herd, then look no further. Aria will not disappoint you. Aria is a PPPeruvian Royal Fawn granddaughter. She is gentle and easy to handle, and carries very soft dense fleece with long staple length. She has proven to be an excellent production female in our breeding program. She has given birth to 2 cria, Stone Bluff's Invincible Don Juan from Snowmass Invincible, and Stone Bluff's October Skye from WD Steiner. Both cria were delivered by Aria without assistance and she has been an excellent mother with plenty of milk. Aria will make a great addition to any farm looking for excellent bloodlines and a dam with a proven record of producing healthy, strong cria with excellent fiber and conformation. She will be bred to our Blue Ribbon winning Herdsire, Stewart's St John in Spring 2010 for a Spring 2011 Cria.

Description

"Johnny" is a sweet gentleman with a calm disposition. He was the first alpaca I ever sheared - Alone, I might add - and other than the occasional fidget, he was very patient with me and my bumbling learning attempt. Recently, he decided that he and his half-brother Final Edition (aka: Cheerio) should adopt a couple of my bottle lambs. While Cheerio was reluctant, Johnny was steadfast and inevitably won the argument. Currently, Johnny has delegated the lambs' care to his brother, while he attempts to win over the chickens. I think it's safe to say, Cheerio and Johnny have inherited their father's paternal instincts :) His fleece is very nice, with density, a good handle, and a nice staple length. Sadly, I wasn't able to send in any fleece samples last year, so I'll just have to give it my best guess. I'm thinking his micron was somewhere in the 21-25 vicinity at 5 years old. Noteworthy names in his background are Snowmaster, Presidio, Royal Fawn, and Caligula.
