Carbon takes after his sire, Avalon's Jacob Black - 19X champion black who stamps his mark on all his cria. It's no surprise that Jacob Black took the 2015 & 2016 Dark Reserve Championship at the Futurity. Jacob Black's bloodlines have been closed to the outside, so we are thrilled to have him in the Pacific Northwest. Carbon has cria on the ground now and we are excited about the 2017 show season! This beautiful PROVEN dam has produced multiple color champions. Great mom with her crias, abundant milk supply and push button easy birther every time! Yes….clearly a different name for a “stud” female, but since she is sired by Greener Pasture’s Pearl Jam, we thought it was befitting to honor her sire's namesake - Pearl Jam. Solder of Love is a song from their repertoire – we thought it fit nicely with our patriotic theme. Her sire, Pearl Jam has won many awards in the impressive “white” classes across the country including Judges Choice. He is a Caligula Poseidon son with the attributes of a champion. Lovie is a medium fawn, her fleece rich with gold & copper tones – pulling the color from her mom, Crescent Moon’s Solana – also a producer of champions. She has even thrown dark offspring consistently.

If you are looking for a top quality appaloosa to breed to, Cygnus is it! Cygnus is well put together from head to toe. Many have admired the fineness of his fleece and that it carries the same consistency from color to color, which is something that is hard to find in Appaloosas. His fleece is coming in beautifully with fineness, good density, wonderful handle and hardly any halo. Conformationally correct, nice large bone, good width in the front and rear, with straight legs and toes pointing forward. Cygnus comes from great appaloosa genetics, carrying the beautiful all over pattern of spots and has improved upon the fleece of his amazing sire Lu Tau. Cyg offspring- he has produced highly expressive Appaloosa in 3 out of 5 crias, two of which were out of non Appaloosa dams. Cyg seems to be pushing his great fleece characteristics in the offspring regardless of dams fleece quality. Cria weights have been consistent in the 16-17lb range.
