Under stiff competition of 2009 AOBA Nationals (over 800 suris in attendance) Judge Tim Lavin said Belefonté was clearly the winner in his class of nine juvenile true blacks from the best breeding programs in the Nation. His show record to date includes 16 Blues, 4 Color Championship and 2 Reserve Color Championships. His offspring are also doing well in the showring. His four generation Suri pedigree is heavily weighted with blacks and deep color so this is not a guessing game when it comes to decisions for your dark females. Sassy Lassy is a stunning female with long mahogany colored fleece who takes after her dam, Kennedy Rose, only with the addition of some superior Accoyo genetics from her sire, DDF Accoyo Armani, who is a 2 X Color Champion and Get Of Sire winner. Sassy scored all 5's in her conformation in the 2015 SHIP Classification. She is one of the first females purchased at Hidden Creek. A very low maintenance animal, she has proven to be a fantastic mother with plenty of milk. Offspring of hers are sure to improve the quality and genetics of any herd. Her first cria in 2016 was a bay black male by SBS Star Dust who inherited the long lustrous fleece of both parents. Sassy produced a gorgeous light fawn male by Armani's Giorgio in 2017 that has produced several cria that have inherited his beautiful lustrous locks and Giorgio stamp. Her 2018 cria sired by KBTA Kaden's Rowen is a real looker with gorgeous coloring and lots of shine. In 2021, her breeding with GVA Belefonte produced a gorgeous conformationally correct bay black male with long, beautiful locks who will be showing at the CABA/AWE show in McMinnville in April 2022. All her births have been textbook, quick, unassisted and issue-free with healthy babies that thrive.
