Cinders is the 2016 and 2017 AAA Futurity Dark Herd Sire of the Year and the 2018 Reserve Dark Herd Sire of the Year!
He is also a 3 time Herd Sire of the Year for the Medium Breeder Division!
Cinders had his first offspring on the ground in the spring of 2012 and his kids showed at the 2013 GWAS in Denver coming out of the ring with blue ribbons and much acclaim. Of the four entered all four won blue ribbons with Mystique going on the win the Reserve Color Championship. With a biopsy density of 67.5 at four years old, this guy has some impressive fiber stats. His first Great Lakes Ranch offspring certainly did not disappoint in 2015 nor in 2016. Needless to say Cinders is a welcome addition to our herd sire line up. Cinders is closed to outside breedings.
To date, 29 of Cinder's offspring have won at least one banner and 3 have won Judge's Choice! Here's a list of Cinder's offspring that have won banners:

Description
Abott is a strong, correct Suri male with the frame, coverage, and reliability that breeders look for in a working herdsire. His conformation is square and balanced, with a deep chest, straight legs, and a level topline. His fleece, while moderate in fineness, maintains excellent coverage, uniform lock structure, and a clean, lustrous finish that he consistently passes to his crias.
A proven producer, Abott has thrown crias in light fawn, medium brown, true black, and appaloosa when bred to patterned females—showing genuine genetic range. His offspring display improved balance and substance of bone, with several (including Scout and Phoenix) now maturing into promising show prospects.
Abott remains an easy handler and a reliable breeder—steady, respectful, and consistent in performance. His color predictability, conformation, and breeding temperament make him a valuable choice for programs looking to strengthen structure while retaining luster and lock organization.
