JackKnife has the coolest colors and pattern, and is one of the 6 appies produced by Fusion in 2016. He has beautiful luster, good lock structure and fineness, and correct conformation. JackKnife has a playful and inquisitive personality and is easy to handle. His colors are a brilliant dark fawn and light silver grey, and we can't wait to see him shorn to see his spot pattern. Since JackKnife is the product of 2 appy parents, we expect him to produce a high percentage of appaloosas. Patches, who is the dam of JackKnife, is a wonderful mother and great foundation dam. She is on the smaller size, weighing only about 135 lbs, but births easily and has lots of milk. Patches is a 3X Color Champions with 8 Blue Ribbons. She has retained her fineness and annual shear weights each year. Fusion, his sire, is a strong gentle male with a great personality. His spots are very distinct and bold, giving him a giraffe like appearance. You can best see his spots in his shorn photo on his page. His base color is medium silver grey, with med fawn spots. Fusion has produced 75% appy crias from a variety of dams, and we are learning each year how to reproduce the appy pattern. Fusion is closed to outside breedings, but you can purchase a female bred to him. JackKnife settled his first female in the summer of 2018 at just 2 years of age. He produced a beautiful appy female that was sold quickly. He was bred again to 4 females for 2020 crias, and produced 33 appys and 1 harlequin. JackKnife is again bred for another 4 crias in 2021. Can't wait for those spots! We have females FOR SALE that are bred to him. Check out Juliette and Solitaire, both proven producers. JackKnife is available for stud for $1500 and includes 45 days board and an ultrasound confirmation. Discounts for multiple breedings! Pretty Appy Girl!

What a beauty this little girl turned out to be!! She has one heck of a lineage with MacGyver, Bruxo, Condor and Uribe. WOW! We are so happy to have added Park Avenue to our herd here at Honey Maple Farms. She is a sweet, pretty girl and we are anxious to start her breeding career. We sure love those spots!! Park Avenue is continuing to evolve in her color scheme. As of December 2020, she is starting to show some grey (must be those Warrior/Condor genes) along her topline! This is super exciting for us as we are beginning our lines of greys and appy's. To have grey AND appy together is a real bonus for our breeding program!! What a nice surprise!! **2021* Park Avenue was bred to WRSR JackKnife by Fusion for her first cria. She delivered a gorgeous APPY boy on Sept. 7th! This little one had stunning colors and his fleece was very nice! Park was great as a first-time momma and took exceptional care of her cria! **Aug 2023** We have decided on a wild card for Park's 2024 cria. She was bred to Dimachaerus, our spotted maroon/rose grey male, in an attempt to get him proven this year. This should be a great, yet interesting combo! D has good density and is turning more silver-grey on his face as he matures. He has also sprouted more spots in the past 6 months! Park delivered a very nice appy boy when bred to an appy male last time, so we are hoping for more of the same! **August 2024** Park delivered a little "mini-me!" A male cria, gold and rose-grey, with spots!! He is quite handsome!! We are excited to have Dimachaerus' first cria here and even more excited that he has helped create an appy! Pics coming soon!!

Description

WOWZA!! That is all we can say about this ABSOLUTELY STUNNING male!! Electrum, "Eli", is the first cria from our appy girl, Park Avenue, paired with appy sire, WRSR JackKnife by Fusion. These two appy's have outdone themselves in producing little Eli! He gets the name "Electrum" from the ancient metal produced from a combination of silver, gold and copper...very fitting to his color scheme! Park was due to deliver around August 16th. I just happened to be off work with an injury during that timeframe and was excited to have the opportunity to witness this birth. I was soooo excited to see the results of this pairing!!! So I waited....and waited...and waited for the cria to arrive. As luck would have it, I had to return to work on September 7, and of course, when I arrived home that day, there was little Eli, all dry, nursing like a champ and adventuring around the paddock on his own. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of this breeding!!! Eli is EVERYTHING we could want in a potential appy herdsire---BUT we were disappointed to discover that Eli has undescended testicles and will now be a non-breeder....so we are offering this beautiful boy for sale as a fiber male. He has a wonderfully friendly personality and would be a nice PR alpaca for someone who attends a lot of events or just as a pal for another male. His fiber should make some really interesting yarn as well!! Our loss could be your gain!! Contact us for more information!!
