Senior AOA fleece judge, Diana Timmerman had this to say about him, "He has extreme density, superior fineness, beautiful length & brightness, & a well-built form." Judge Amanda VandenBosch assessed Picasso in May 2019 as an A- stating, "Picasso is maintaining fineness, has high frequency style crimp, uniformity across the blanket, good length to staple, use over color, and good cross back over Pure Passion offspring. " He was biopsied at 4.5 years by Dr. Norm Evans, DVM who said, "True Genetic Density: 80.5 follicles SQ MM; AFD: 16.53. Picasso's 250X scan which magnifies at 1000 times amazes me. Picasso shows only 20% of his secondary fibers have a degree of medullation. This male shows many strong genetic traits that should pass to his offspring. He has retained his fineness of fiber." Description

Multi-champion, Estates Picasso’s Famous Painting checks all of the boxes for an elite herdsire. He stands out for his impeccable conformation & superb phenotype. He has a gorgeous wedge-shaped head with immense coverage, short muzzle, & correct bite. His compact, square frame is carried on thick-boned legs with excellent coverage to his toes. As a compact male, he still is extremely strong & well-muscled. He has a level back & proper tail set. His fleece is what sets him apart. Famous Painting’s fleece readily cracks open as he walks, displaying beautiful cocoa colored fiber. As you feel his fleece its softness & excellent density stand out. The individual bundles have a well-organized, high-frequency crimp with incredible brightness & staple length. In a sample, his secondary fibers are very uniform in micron with very few primary fibers that are close in diameter to his secondary fibers. What is often overlooked in a herdsire is docility & being an easy keeper. Famous Painting is very easy to handle and friendly. From birth he gained weight readily, maintains great health, & has proper tooth length. He also has one trait ranking in the Top 15% of EPDs and five traits in the Top 25% in 2023!
