Multi-champion, Estates Picasso’s Famous Painting checks all of the boxes for an elite herdsire. He stands out for his impeccable conformation & superb phenotype. He has a gorgeous wedge-shaped head with immense coverage, short muzzle, & correct bite. His compact, square frame is carried on thick-boned legs with excellent coverage to his toes. As a compact male, he still is extremely strong & well-muscled. He has a level back & proper tail set. His fleece is what sets him apart. Famous Painting’s fleece readily cracks open as he walks, displaying beautiful cocoa colored fiber. As you feel his fleece its softness & excellent density stand out. The individual bundles have a well-organized, high-frequency crimp with incredible brightness & staple length. In a sample, his secondary fibers are very uniform in micron with very few primary fibers that are close in diameter to his secondary fibers.
What is often overlooked in a herdsire is docility & being an easy keeper. Famous Painting is very easy to handle and friendly. From birth he gained weight readily, maintains great health, & has proper tooth length. He also has one trait ranking in the Top 15% of EPDs and five traits in the Top 25% in 2023! Everything about him is pleasing. This includes a color-packed, star-studded pedigree!
Famous Painting is the son of 9x Champion, Estates Legendary Picasso, a gorgeous light fawn male sired by our very own Andean's Pegasus of Country Estates. Picasso has given us multiple champions & his progeny have been key members of our show strings since 2021. His son, Duke Malaga is a 14X banner winner and three times Judges Choice recipient who was exported to Poland. Picasso carries the impressive genetics from PPeruvian Caligula, 4Peruvian Andean Gold, Snowmass Andean Bronze, Snowmass Andean Midnight, Andean's Pegasus of Country Estates, Patagonia's Ernesto, Patagonia's Lennox, Danko, Nishio, El Padre, & Cava Guivir Zorro!
Famous Painting’s dam, J Creek You’re The One I Want, is a stunning Pure Passion daughter & one of our top breeding females. She is an excellent dam with an impressive phenotype that stands out to farm visitors, just like Painting! His maternal lineage boasts of almost all Snowmass lines: Snowmass Matrix, Snowmass Conopa XXX, Snowmass Royal Challanger, Snowmass XXXtreme & more. Her sire, Snowmass Pure Passion, is our most proven champion producer at ACE. Passion has been recognized with numerous Get of Sire blue ribbons! Out of our 1,000 alpacas, we selected our top 250 to be part of our breeding program & Passion's genetics are in approximately 50% of this group.
We are very excited that Famous Painting is joining Alpaca Country Estates Herdsire Row! We can’t wait to see how he passes on his luscious fleece and gorgeous phenotype to his cria. Contact us if you are interested in adding Famous Painting’s elite genetics & quality to your herd.
