Description

We are thrilled to introduce Amber Autumn Kodiak to the Majestic Meadows herd! Purchased from the 2022 Amber Autumn Alpaca Auction, Kodiak brings an exceptional combination of genetics, fleece quality, and potential to our breeding program. His strong, stocky frame and remarkable fleece will be an asset to any breeder looking to enhance density, uniformity, and fineness, while producing a wide range of colors. Kodiak's sire, Eros, and half-brother Giovani have both proven to be prepotent producers of a wide array of colors, including black, gray, and fawn. Kodiak is expected to continue this legacy, throwing offspring in every color on the chart, from rich blacks to soft grays and beautiful fawns. His fleece is dense, with a high frequency crimp that gives it a bright, soft handle, and excellent uniformity, making him an outstanding choice for improving the overall fleece quality in your herd. Kodiak has a strong, square frame and excellent coverage from head to toe. His conformation is solid, and he has a handsome, macho head that adds to his impressive presence. Kodiak embodies the type and structure that breeders look for in a herdsire, combining a powerful build with the refined appearance we all strive for. Kodiak’s genetics speak for themselves. His sire, Eros, is known for producing offspring with remarkable fleece and a lasting legacy of fineness. At 7 years old, Eros’ fiber still reads: 22.9, 4.0, 17.7, with 4.3% over 30 micron—proof of his lasting influence on Kodiak’s genetics. Kodiak’s dam, Kix, is equally impressive, maintaining fine fleece at age 4 with a micron count of 20.8, 3.3, 16.0, and just 1.1% greater than 30 microns. With such a foundation, Kodiak is well-equipped to improve both fleece quality and color diversity in your herd. Kodiak is proudly co-owned with Roaring Acres Alpacas, and together we look forward to his future success. His powerful genetics, excellent fleece, and well-balanced conformation make him a fantastic addition to our herdsire lineup, and we’re excited to see the offspring he produces in the years to come.

Awards

Kodiak was born in the era before we had roan classes so because of his roan coloring (lighter fibers) he was only shown once. He would be considered roan in today's standards.
