Not only is her fleece phenotypically superior, with exceptional fineness, density and a high curvature style, but she also has that valuable no-dilution genotype. Andean Mystic had 3 traits in the Top 5% EPDs in 2022! Her sire is Snowmass Andean Velvet, a typey and incredibly prepotent sire whose hallmarks of production are extreme fineness and density in darker color. Andean Mystic’s dam has helped consolidate these elements in her genotype, contributing the genetics of Matrix Majesty and Everlasting Paramount among others. It’s so easy to breed a female like Andean Mystic, who has so many positive attributes locked in place. She’s even prepotent for color because she does not carry dilution or black and will not produce white. We consider this female perfect for increasing the range of genetics that you can bring into a fawn or darker color breeding effort.
