ROCKSTAR’s Steely Dan is the handsome and confident two-year old son of two-time Futurity Herdsire of the Year, Neversummer’s U.S. Steel. Steely is very fine and inherited his sire’s trademark silky handle. In heavy competition, he placed very well taking a blue ribbon at the 2016 Futurity as a juvenile and blue ribbon as a yearling at GWAS 2017, in an extremely tough class. He additionally has won top honors in fleece at the 2016 Gold Country Gathering winning his fleece class and 2nd place in both halter and walking fleece. Judges have praised Steely for his overall level of uniformity, brightness, soft handle, and clean blanket which has an extremely low presence of guard hair. We expect Steely will retain his fineness, brightness, and signature soft silky handle well into adulthood as evidenced by his histogram results thus far. Both his sire and his dam, Bella Noche have strong grey pedigrees behind them and both have retained fineness into adulthood as evidenced by their fleece stats - Bella Noche is maintaining her fineness after 3 pregnancies with an AFD of 20.3, SD of 4.4, and CV of 21.9. Add to all of this Steely’s stellar conformational traits in which he exhibits very nice substance of bone, a compact frame, level topline, and perfect bite. We are anxious to see what this stylish young male will be able to produce. He’s taken quite an interest in the females as he comes up on his 2nd birthday. It would be no surprise if he were to have a long and successful career as a top notch breeding male. Topping it all off is Steely’s sweet disposition! He is super easy going like his sire US Steel, is easily handled, and is a true pleasure to work with. AMBER AUTUMN ZOUPER Z Zouper Z is the daughter of Snowmass Silver Signature, the "elite grey” from Snowmass Alpacas used as the standard of excellence in their silver-grey breeding program. Signature is a beautiful, compact, typey male whose outstanding genetics include Snowmass Royal Flush, Snowmass Andean Bronze, 4Peruvian Andean Gold 6019, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, and Peruvian Bueno. Her award-winning dam, Patagonia's Zaida won Reserve Champion and 1st place at the 2013 Great Western Alpaca Show. She also received a 2nd Place ribbon from the 2013 AOBA National Alpaca Show. Zouper Z's maternal grandsire is 3x champion and multiple blue-ribbon winner, Patagonia's Admiral a handsome True Black stud sired by our legendary multi-champion, Patagonia's Lennox. Offspring: On 6/15/21, Zouper Z gave birth to a lovely medium silver-grey female sired by Rockstar's Steely Dan. On 7/8/22, Zouper Z presented us with a beautiful light fawn female also sired by Rockstar's Steely Dan.

Crescent Moon’s Peachee Keen is a fantastic addition to our grey program. He is already proven and now breeding at Alpaca Country Estates. He is of excellent quality and loads of grey in his pedigree. Peachee Keen is a beautiful male of moderate size with a full head, good coverage, and proud presence. We absolutely love his fleece. It is very uniform with a high-frequency crimp with moderate to high amplitude. It is a fine fleece carrying great brightness, good staple length, superb density, and an excellent handle. The above traits brought Peachee success in the show ring. He is an 8x champion and has won 12 blue ribbons. This is no surprise as he is a fifth-generation champion. His sire is 8x champion, Crescent Moon’s Kolbe who has produced many champions. Peachee’s linage contains Crescent Moon’s Wilkinson, Accoyo America Jason, Royal Fawn, Rayo Del Sol, Crescent Moon’s Aquinas, ATV Adonis, and more. With Peachee Keen unrelated to many grey lines at our farm and in some areas of the country, he is a great option for breeding for grey or black. His half sibling, Estates Dark Venom, is a 16x Champion (including 2024 AOA National Black Male Fleece Reserve Championship with his juvenile fleece)!
