Feb 15th 2025 Ascott quietly passed away. It is sad to say goodbye to a great animal that did so much for our farm and breeding program. UPDATE : Ascott's Gr. Son Birchleaf Foundations Ziba, Won Grand Champion white male at the April 9th/10th ALPACA Spring Show (largest in Canada) . At almost 6 yrs of age! We bought Ascott to add fineness and stunning Presence to our herd. We were looking for the combination of Alpamayo and Ivano, after seeing their offspring in the showring. After getting multiple fibre samples from males across North America, Ascott stood out, for fineness, lack of primaries and consistency of variation of micron. His 3 yr old histogram is 17.3, 3.2, 18.2, and 0.3 over 30mic. We showed him at 54 months of age against all ages of white males where he took Grand Champion. The judge at the time commented "that this 54 month old male is as fine as the juveniles in his color class". His progeny are vigorous, prepotent, stylish, stunning conformation and have consistency of fibre diameter across the body. Ascott daughters won Supreme Champion female at the Northlands Alpaca International Odyssey 3 years in a row, 2011 Birchleaf Exotica, 2012 Birchleaf Sunita and 2013 Birchleaf Zena (Also CNASF Supreme) before the show was moved. Ascott is now retired from breeding and will live out his days on our farm.

2023 cria, Freeze Frame wins Grand Champion at the A.L.P.A.C.A. Spring show at 10 months old. I Remember is a one of our best female creations from Foundation and Zena. She is a closest resemblances to her full brother BL Ziba, of all Zena's offspring. With extreme staple length to the knee and up the neck and outstanding density. Her dam BL Zena is a multiple Champion that captured Supreme Champion Alpaca, at the 2014 CNASF is our top producing female. Her fleece is very consistent, with little guard hair and crimp throughout her bib area. Her very showy/proud presence is passed on to her offspring and is continually commented on by judges . UPDATE: Max's first offspring BL Zestiny wins Supreme Champion at her first show A.L.P.A.C.A. April 6,7th 2024. We are thrilled to announce that Max Factor at his first and only Halter show, won white male Champion and Supreme of the show at the Camrose Majestic Fall show 2023 :) We are happy to be the new owners of Max Factor. He has the Proven genetics, for exquisite fibre and strong Macho conformation that we would like to add compliment our herd. Max's 3rd fleece is looking excellent, and he carries the crimp style and character well into his bib and up the neck, he is also holding fleece length to the lower shoulder and hip. We were looking for Accoyo bloodlines for retained fleece weights and strong frames that Don Julio Barreda infused with line breeding. Max has sired 4 cria in 2024, 3 males and one female. He is doing an excellent job bred to Foundation XAscott females.
