Earl Grey has his sire's outstanding coverage, large bone, and macho, wedge shaped full head, and stunning classic dark silver-grey color. Earl Grey is sired by DSG multi-champion, Applewoods Phantom. His multi-champion fawn dam is Silver Rose Elegance (who has Cochiti and Legacy as close genetics). Not only are his dam and sire champions, all of his grandparents are champions as well! His paternal grandsire is Jerimiah’s Qualtrain and five-time champion grey. This makes for an impressive pedigree that boasts of Majestic Peruvian Jerimiah, MFI Peruvian Jericho, HA Shades of Grey, Peruvian Presidio, PPPeruvian Augusto, 4Peruvian Legacy, Augusto, Cochiti, Caligula, and Victor! Unfortunately, the covid pandemic limited Earl Grey’s show career. Earl Grey has a beautiful handling fleece in a uniform dark silver-grey color. The color is uniform across his body. The micron range is uniform between his white and black fibers. His first histogram displayed a 17.2 micron, 4.4 standard deviation, and 2.2% over thirty micron. He also carries a very long staple length. The crimp is consistent across his blanket and has a high frequency. The fleece shows great brightness with an excellent degree of density. MC1R + ASIP Genotype: Ee aa Earl Grey has already displayed his ability to pass these traits onto his offspring. His 2023 daughter, Estates Danish Silver Mermaid, is currently a 4x Champion with numerous Blue Ribbons. His 2022 son, AspenAlpacas The Duke, won 2 Color Championship banners & 3 Blue Ribbons in 2024. Starshire's Salem is a striking True Black girl. She is well-grown for her age, has a beautiful head, solid bone and well-balanced conformation. Her fleece is silky fine and very dense. Salem had FOUR traits in the Top 25% EPDs for 2022! She has a strong background of black and grey, and would be the perfect foundation dam for such a program. 2017 Histogram: AFD: 19.2; SD: 3.6; CV: 18.5; %>30: 1.5 Salem is one of the last offspring of multi-champion, Crescent Moon's Kryptonite, an awesome black male with a great show record and incredible offspring. In 2006, Kryptonite was sold for 1/2 interest for $175,000 making him second in line as the highest priced black alpaca ever sold. Kryptonite was a National Champion in 2002 & 2003 and was the Futurity Reserve Black Male Champion. He won six additional Championships under many different judges & spanning three spring show seasons. Salem is also the paternal granddaughter of 4Peruvian Legacy 6016 (a 29x Get of Sire ribbon winner). Legacy was the 2002 Futurity Herdsire of the Year; and the Reserve Light Herdsire of the Year in both 2005 and 2007. In 2005, Legacy sold for a world record setting price which still stands today. Her dam, Liberty's Silver-Star, is a medium silver grey with a fine fleece and long staple. Her maternal grandsire is multi-champion, TAG Peruvian Bellagio. Blue-Ribbon Winner!
