Apache was a cornerstone of our herd for over five years. He now has 41 registered offspring many of which are in our Rare Gem herd. Follow the links below to view his amazing, colorFULL progeny. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Oh, my oh my! Apache is a proven herdsire with 28 cria on the ground! Sometimes words just aren't enough. If you are looking for an appaloosa harlequin stud to cover your girls and create something truly unique, look no further. This boy has it all! Apache's pedigree is packed (on both sides) with outstanding appaloosas and harlequins. It is highly probable that Apache is homozygous meaning you do not have to breed him to another harlequin or appaloosa to get a good chance of producing an appaloosa / harlequin offspring. A definite plus for those breeding for spots. With 28 offspring now sired by Apache, we have a pretty good picture of his expressivity. Of the 28 offspring on the ground (December 2021), 27 of the dams were solid colored (not appaloosa or harlequin). All but 2 of the 27 offspring are either classic appaloosa or harlequin. That is an expression rate of 93%! Ironically, the one appaloosa female that Apache was bred to threw a solid. Apache is as sure of a bet as you can get when looking for these uniquely colored / patterned alpacas. Apache's sire, Windspun WSA Patriotic Gentleman, is an appaloosa as well. He's a blue ribbon winning male that sports a beautiful fleece and strong confirmation. Patriotic Gentleman's sire is the multi-champion Hobby Horse Farm Great Expecations making his grandsire the well-known SA Peruvian Black Epic. Apache's dam, Excelsior's High Voltage Tazer, has an equally impressive background. She's the harlequin daughter of two very well-known appaloosas - NWA/Hearsum Paulo and Cookies and Cream. In May 2021, Apache's appaloosa offspring took 2nd Place - Get of Sire at CABA. UPDATE: For the first time ever, this highly expressive stud will be made available Summer of 2022. We work with international buyers and can guide you through the process. If interested, please don't wait... contact us now!

Confirmed pregnant to Rare Gem Divine X for a September 2026 cria Shasta Daisy is one of those truly special females who quietly wins your heart. A gentle soul with a big, soft presence, she is adored by everyone who spends time with her. Daisy comes from exceptional lineage on both sides. Her sire, Accoyo America Jason, is a 6X color champion co-owned by Amber Autumn Alpacas and Little Creek Farm, LLC. Jason is the result of a highly successful pairing of Camilio full siblings, and he made history by winning the AOBA Nationals brown male championship three years in a row. Known for his deep red-brown fleece, he passed along extraordinary crimp, character, and density—traits that have made him a prepotent sire producing champions across fawn, brown, and even competitive white classes. Her dam, Accoyo America Shastina, was a lovely white female from Gregory Mecklam’s program. Although Shastina had a short show career, she earned top placements in elite white classes, including a 1st place at The Futurity, before her unexpected passing at just six years old. Daisy came to Rare Gem Alpacas in February 2021 as a mature, 10-year-old female with three beautiful offspring already to her credit. Since joining the herd, she has continued to be an absolute delight. She gifted us one handsome cria and has cemented herself as one of the farm’s most nurturing and reliable maternal figures. One of Daisy’s most memorable moments came two years ago when a cria on the farm wasn’t receiving enough milk from her dam. Without hesitation—and without being bred—Daisy began producing milk and stepped in to help raise the little one. This instinctive kindness is simply who she is. Even today, she gravitates to the nursery paddock, “adopting” babies, watching over them, and offering her signature calm, loving presence. And just when we thought Daisy was ready for retirement from breeding… she surprised us! Daisy is now confirmed pregnant to Rare Gem Divine X, a pairing we are thrilled about. We look forward to welcoming her September 2026 cria—one that promises to carry forward her outstanding genetics and her incomparable heart. Daisy is the kind of alpaca every farm longs for: dependable, affectionate, and endlessly nurturing. A true treasure of the Rare Gem herd.

Description

Thanks to Darcy Phillips of Rare Gem Alpacas for allowing us to bring Huckleberry to our farm. This handsome young male is out of Accoyo America Shasta Daisy. Daisy is the daughter of 6X color champion, Accoyo America Jason. Jason is co-owned by Amber Autumn Alpacas and Little Creek Farm, LLC. Owner, Lynn Edens, comments on Jason... The offspring of a very successful pairing of Camilio siblings, Jason won the AOBA Nationals championship in brown three years running. It is rare to find such exquisite crimp, character and density in a deep red brown fleece. Even better, Jason has consistently reproduced those characteristics in his crias, and at such a high level that even his white offspring are consistently ribboning in the competitive white classes. He has produced champions in fawn and brown. Huckleberry's sire is the highly expressive and wildly spotted harlequin appaloosa herdsire Apache Gentleman. This line carries legendary appaloosa / harlequin genetics on both sides of the pedigree. These exciting genetics are in high demand and several of Huckleberry's siblings have been exported to Europe. Huckleberry is a solid youngster-- straight legs, lovely head style and a bright, dense, fine medium fawn fleece. Huckberry's harlequin appaloosa sire throws appaloosas and harlequins >80 percent of the time. Unfortunately, Huckleberry only has two visible spots-- both black. We are hoping that these spots indicate he has the harlequin gene and will pass this on to his offspring. Harley or not Huckleberry has a very fine fleece that is showing very nice crimp coming in. In a recent walking fleece competition the judge commented that his next fleece will be much denser and have very nice architecture to it. He placed 3rd out of a class of highly competitive 7. We are anxious to get him shorn and let that fleece start growing. Huckleberry has held his own in some touch competition in shows. He is growing nicely, and we look forward to using him as a herdsire in our harlequin/appy program.
