Description

Alejandro has consistently produced off-spring with extreme fineness and uniformity, which are dark with low AFD and SD, and that have a gorgeous phenotype. Alejandro's cria are consistently conformationally sound with a compact square frame and a large bone structure. They sport densely fine fleece with superb uniformity and complete coverage. Full-face coverage with show-winning accolades is commonly found with most. We are impressed with the offspring Alejandro has produced for us. They are conformationally sound with a large bone structure. Phenotypically off the charts. The fleece is outstanding in deep rich consistent color, intense density, incredible uniformity, and crimp! Alejandro's genetic testing indicates that his color genotype is: MC1R Ee and ASIP a1a2 which means that he carries one dilution gene and both alleles are black. This means he can produce light-colored offspring depending on the color genotype of the dam. Typically, Alejandro produces black when bred to females who have black behind them or are black. Alejandro has produced an ultra-fine black fleece that has retained impressive histogram numbers through the years. At 5 years of age, he was still producing fleece as fine as the juveniles. He has been consistent both in the staple and across the blanket, down the hip, and up into the neck. Alejandro has a gorgeous phenotype with a true macho look. He has a laid-back, gentle demeanor. Alejandro has unique extensive black and grey genetics that make him perfect for a dark breeding program. Alejandro's first histogram at 8 1/2 months old is AFD 16.6 SD 3.5 CV 20 % OVER 30 0.6.....Impressive fineness and consistency in a black fleece. His 2024 histogram results are as follows AFD 23.6 SD 3.5 CV 14.9 CF 100%. Alejandro is co-owned with Jen and Marty Koop of Natty West Alpacas.
