Tesla came from a farm with a large bachelor herd. I think he either needs a large herd or perhaps a place of his own. He just does not fit in at Soft Hearts. He is very territorial, but I do not think he would be a good guard animal. Tesla is registered as a true black but we think he is a bay black with medium brown highlights! He has an interesting spot of dark brown on the top of his head! His sire and dam are two classic tuxedo silver greys. This boy has solid conformation, big bone, and lots of soft fleece with great crimp, bundling, staple length, and handle. Tesla has one male 2021 cria on the ground Thunder Struck owned by Red Hill Fiber. He has a 2022 female cria, T Tiny Spark, at Soft Hearts. Tesla is easily haltered, handled and led. However, he is aggressive towards other male alpacas. He has fence jumped to attack another male. For this reason, we decided to geld him on Oct 14, 2022. His behavior has improved greatly. However he is still aggressive towards other alpacas. He will not be trained him for 4-H because i cannot trust him around other alpacas. He can be very sweet on lead.

Miss Billie is a beautiful black yearling female with two Silver Grey parents. She is a friendly, easy keeper and oh my is she a cutie. We have started her training. What a clever girl she is! An fence jump by Tesla resulted in a male on 4/27/23 who did not survive. Billie is available for 4-H lease.. Thank You Cindi Hassrick and Carol Hunsberger for this lovely addition to our herd!
