His pedigree is also loaded in fantastic champions who produce champions, namely his sire Irish Meadows Peruvian Carbon Copy (son of Avalon's Jacob Black) and his dam Graysea (daughter of Crystal Spartan). Then top off this male with his great looks - a solid, balanced frame in heavy bone and excellent conformation - and you have a total package! We hesitate to sell her because she is one of only three dams by our multiple champion/ judge's choice Smokejumper. If not for our need to reduce herd size we would keep her for our grey program, and I am sure we will have some regret selling our Jumper girl. He was still winning banners for his fleece at 5-6 years old (he even beat our many time champion Stradivarius once), so shame on us for not utilizing him more in our breeding program. Jumper was the son of the rose grey foundation dam in our herd, Frosted Red Rose ('Rosie'), who was not only a champion but produced champions. Her dam is our AutumnSun's Burgundy Bliss - a dark modern grey dam born from dark brown dam that went modern as she aged and that produced classic grey when bred that way. Her roan-grey heritage runs deep. Serenity is also roan - also known as a modern rose grey -- with white fibers throughout her blanket. She is well developed on a balanced frame and excellent conformation. She is a great mother and an easy keeper that has bred, carried, birthed and nursed with no issues. Her dam's line has been strongly maternal, all good breeders with a propensity to produce girls (all been modern greys). Her granddam and great-granddam are both modern greys, so Serenity is 4th generation modern grey on her dam's side. SOLD! Congratulations to Kim and Robert Brandsma of Sugar Pike Alpacas! She just had a light brown girl by Truthsayer, Perfect Harmony. This girl is a eye-catching brown with a white face, evidencing her grey heritage. For her second cria, Serenity has given us a beautiful medium brown girl sired by our modern rose grey, Magistrate! Inara Serra is a beautiful girl. This girl seems to be going the way of grey /roan. Another perfect girl for a grey program. We love the fleece and overall look of Harmony so much that we bred Serenity back to Truthsayer for a repeat cria. She is only for sale since we are keeping Harmony but we may choose to take her off depending.... This year's cria is another girl! This one, sired by Truthsayer is a rose grey. Same face as Harmony but this one expressing her grey genetics more for evident grey across her body. If Inara sales, we may keep this girl....

Full Peruvian, with champions in his bloodlines that make you take a second look -- yes, that is the now deceased multiple champion true black Knight Ryder who showed who took the ring by storm in his day. And Shades of Silver is the champion son of the notable champion Legend's Peruvian Revelation by KPR. This pedigree is definitely 'name dropping' if you are interested in champion black and grey. In his showing he often stood second to Val d'Sere, the legendary many times color champion and judge's choice winner. And during the color champion, though the CCNF male took reserve (after Val d'Sere took CC, of course), we got several 2nd glances by the judge when Axios moved up to the front row for consideration. Axios, for his first breeding year, bred to our Sparrow Lark (who had made a lovely TB female by our multiple champion black herdsire), produced a fantastic deep brown boy last year and a mirrored girl this year. Both are beautiful. His 2019 boy, Shakespeare, is still available as we ramp back up into show mode after the year of Covid-19 restrictions, and his 2020 girl was sold at her dam's side. In 2021, Axios made three beautiful female and one male crias for us! He throws color! Sweet Carolina is a well grown BG out of (LF) Aika; no fault to him as Aika is resisting putting out dark. Divine Glamour is a luxurious BB out of our MF Divine Lady, and Oraine is a glowing MB out of our champion white Danica. He also made a spectacular bay black male out of a our MF dam, Carnaval who unfortunately had an ear infection as a young cria that affected our ability to show him. So, the girls, Glamour and Oraine, had to represent Axios alone - both garnering banners! We are more than proud. He is closed to outside breedings but will be available as a service sire to sold dams from Autumn Sun Alpacas.

Description

Inara Serra means a 'ray of light seen from above', or 'heaven sent'. She has the potential to be that for a dark / grey program, with a pedigree filled with famous black & grey / roan champions on her sire's side and 4 generations of modern grey (roan) on her dam's side. Inara is showing white fibers at her neck, so her grey heritage is shining through, and she very easily may roan out as well as produce grey. Her genotype test results report she is 'EE aa' so she has the ability to throw dark / black! Inara's sire is our co-owned LibertyAlpaca's Magistrate, a modern dark rose (roan) grey son out of Graysea and therefore grandson of Crystal's Spartan (a male that is known to produce quality roan). Peppered among those modern rose greys are classic greys and blacks... Serenity is sired by our multiple champion Smokejumper who was out of our champion grey dam Frosted Red Rose, and she had produce nothing by classic greys other than Jumper. Magistrate (or "Judge" as he is nick-named) is sired by Irish Meadow's Carbon Copy. Both Carbon Copy, and his sire Avalon's Jacob Black have produced grey offspring as well as notable blacks. Graysea is herself a champion modern rose (roan) grey with additional champion offspring in solid colors. Inara is very fine with very good uniformity in ration and across her blanket, with a good shine and staple. Her handle is deliciously creamy, like liquid chocolate, to the touch. Her density is moderate but her fine fiber and delicate low amplitude frequency crimp contributes to less perceived density. Inara has been bred to our Axios who has been proven several times to produce black and roan! The Axios crias have been stellar so this will be a beautiful cria!
