Jet Blues fleece is highly organized fleece and he has a handsome phenotype. Some consider him a "Next-gen black"! Color genotype testing for Jet Blue indicates he carries MC1R EE and his ASIP is a1a2. No dilution was evident and both of his alleles are black. It will be very unlikely that he would produce light offspring and all offspring should cover black. We are excited to have this information to assist in our breeding decisions. Velvetina delivered a true black female from her maiden breeding with Jet Blue. We were so pleased with this cria that we repeated that pairing. The second breeding produced a dark brown male.
