Not only are his dam and sire champions, all of his grandparents are champions as well! His paternal grandsire is Jerimiah’s Qualtrain and five-time champion grey. This makes for an impressive pedigree that boasts of Majestic Peruvian Jerimiah, MFI Peruvian Jericho, HA Shades of Grey, Peruvian Presidio, PPPeruvian Augusto, 4Peruvian Legacy, Augusto, Cochiti, Caligula, and Victor! Unfortunately, the covid pandemic limited Earl Grey’s show career. Earl Grey has a beautiful handling fleece in a uniform dark silver-grey color. The color is uniform across his body. The micron range is uniform between his white and black fibers. His first histogram displayed a 17.2 micron, 4.4 standard deviation, and 2.2% over thirty micron. He also carries a very long staple length. The crimp is consistent across his blanket and has a high frequency. The fleece shows great brightness with an excellent degree of density. Earl Grey has already displayed his ability to pass these traits onto his offspring. With 29 cria on the ground, 24 are black or grey and the dams vary from grey to white! BUGATTI'S PERUVIAN OPRAH An incredible list of legendary black and grey males and females cover Oprah's lineage. She is a beautiful True Black daughter of multi-champion LMFI Peruvian Silver Bugatti — an AOBA National Grey Champion in both Fleece and Halter. Oprah is the granddaughter of the legendary MFI Peruvian Black Mesquite, said to be one of the most successful black herdsires in the alpaca industry. Mesquite's offspring dominated at the 2005 & 2006 AOBA National Conference fleece shows, and his offspring have won numerous championships. Mesquite is a son of the well-known black herdsire 4Peruvian Matador 6030 and one of Magical Farms top producing females, 5Peruvian Hiedra. Oprah was only shown once - at the 2014 CABA Classic. Judge Peter Kennedy awarded her a 2nd Place ribbon (out of a class of 6). **The 1st Place winner won Reserve Champion. Since Silver Bugatti is one of the rare GREY sons of Black Mesquite, we are excited to add Oprah to our black/grey breeding program.
