Earl Grey has his sire's outstanding coverage, large bone, and macho, wedge shaped full head, and stunning classic dark silver-grey color. Earl Grey is sired by DSG multi-champion, Applewoods Phantom. His multi-champion fawn dam is Silver Rose Elegance (who has Cochiti and Legacy as close genetics). Not only are his dam and sire champions, all of his grandparents are champions as well! His paternal grandsire is Jerimiah’s Qualtrain and five-time champion grey. This makes for an impressive pedigree that boasts of Majestic Peruvian Jerimiah, MFI Peruvian Jericho, HA Shades of Grey, Peruvian Presidio, PPPeruvian Augusto, 4Peruvian Legacy, Augusto, Cochiti, Caligula, and Victor! Unfortunately, the covid pandemic limited Earl Grey’s show career. Earl Grey has a beautiful handling fleece in a uniform dark silver-grey color. The color is uniform across his body. The micron range is uniform between his white and black fibers. His first histogram displayed a 17.2 micron, 4.4 standard deviation, and 2.2% over thirty micron. He also carries a very long staple length. The crimp is consistent across his blanket and has a high frequency. The fleece shows great brightness with an excellent degree of density. Earl Grey has already displayed his ability to pass these traits onto his offspring. With 29 cria on the ground, 24 are black or grey and the dams vary from grey to white! ANDINA SWEET THING Sweet Thing is the daughter of Snowmass Silver Signature the "elite grey” from Snowmass Alpacas, used as the standard of excellence in their silver-grey breeding program. His histograms, awesome phenotype, and incredible conformation attest to this. Signature is a beautiful, compact, typey male whose outstanding genetics include Snowmass Royal Flush, Snowmass Andean Bronze, 4Peruvian Andean Gold 6019, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, and Peruvian Bueno. Both of Sweet Things daughters have been Blue-Ribbon Winners in the show ring! Offspring: On 3/28/21, Sweet Thing gave birth to a pretty medium silver-grey female sired by Rockstar's Steely Dan. Her daughter, ANDINA Call Me Glamorous, won 1st Place at the 2022 Alpaca Western Extravaganza show and a 2nd Place ribbon from the 2022 Alpacapalooza shows. On 5/2/22, Sweet Thing presented us with a beautiful medium silver-grey female sired by Amber Autumn Giovanni. Judge Wade Gease presented her daughter, ANDINA SHETAN, a Blue Ribbon from the 2023 CABA Classic show. She also brought home a 2nd Place ribbon from the 2023 Alpaca Western Extravaganza show. On 4/25/23, Sweet Thing gave us a handsome medium silver-grey male sired by AOV Accoyo Eros. Estates Silver Dollar Mavrick will make his show string debut at the 2025 Houston show! On 5/15/24, Sweet Thing gave birth to a lovely light fawn female sired by our exceptional grey herdsire, AspenAlpacas Early Grey.
