A Wanted Man’s Zephyr is our #1 pick for improving density & fleece weight on our coloured females. Zephyr is the best male sired by A Wanted Man in North America before his departure to Europe. With his genetics somewhat limited, he is unrelated to most bloodlines in Canada. He would be able to cross virtually any females in our herd that are not his paternal sisters (Miss Saigon & Moka) or their offsprings. His sire, Majestic Meadow’s A Wanted Man, is a Judge’s Choice & multi-champion son of multi “Herdsire of the Year” winner Jeremiah’s Peruvian Jumanji. A Wanted Man is the grandson of Futurity Champion & also “Herdsire of the Year”, Crystal Spartan. On Zephyr’s maternal line, his dam is 4x Champion Aero’s Myka of Chelsea whose dam was AOBA National Black Reserve Champion, and her sire collected 4 Supreme/Judge’s Choice awards & 9 Championships. Descending from generations of award-winning alpacas on both sides proving that Zephyr’s quality is no fluke. His fleece blew me away! It combines desirable traits for the fiber industry with an impressive fleece weight, high degree of organisation that is uniform throughout his blanket, soft hand and a superior level of density. These traits allowed Zephyr to collect numerous awards including “Alpaca Canada Fleece of the Year”, 3 Supreme Champion & “Best Crimp”. We are happy to introduce this Snowmass Pure Reserve XX daughter into our herd! Ariya Pure Reserve’s Cup Cake is a very feminine female with a gorgeous rich brown colour. She is packing up nice genetics we’ve been eager to add for a while on her paternal side with Snowmass Matrix and Snowmass XXXtreme, as well as the legendary 5Peruvian Cangalli. Her dam, Alberta Rose’s Crissy, is a 3x Champion Eclipse Alyst daughter out of our beloved ARA Chananza’s full sister, Alberta Rose’s Cristal! We’re very happy to be able to bring back Chananza’s genetics by a different riff into our herd as we miss him dearly and love what his descendants are conformationally and their fiber. Cup Cake is a good example of the breed in conformation with her square but feminine frame. She has a very fine fleece, just like you should expect from her Snowmass genetics. Cup Cake’s full siblings are show winners, her older brother is a 2x Champion brown male, and her sister is a first-place winner. Unfortunately, Cup Cake wasn’t shown, as she had the misfortune to change owners several times due to farms closing their operation. Fortunately, she is now in a program where she’ll be used to her full potential! Her 4th fleece shows outstanding staple length, shine and a surprisingly amazing crimp for her age and dark colour. Cup Cake was added to our program to introduce fresh genetics and to be bred to our 9x Champion Snowmass Conopa XXX son, Smoak. The Snowmass Pure Passion x Snowmass Conopa XXX crosses have been dominant in the North American showings for the past years, winning the AOA National Dark Female Supreme Champion and the Futurity Judge’s Choice, as well as the Judge’s Choice’s in Quebec and in Ontario. They have produced a stunning roan male, Noble Amaretto du DNA, a Reserve Champion Roan male! She has produced a brown female sired by Val d'Isere Alpine Spirit in 2024. She sells with her 2025 little man sired by Zephyr until he is weaned. Although our herd size is back to what we once maintained, the new responsibilities of running our manufacturing facility require us to downsize a bit...
