Goldstar's Zoltar is the son of Lazy G's Accoyo Goldstar. Goldstar has won 20 Get of Sires with 3 of them at Nationals, 3 at The Futurity, and 1 at the Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show. Goldstar has been taking his great Full Accoyo genetics and passing them on to his offspring to create champions since at least 2012 when he won the first of his 19 Get of Sire championships. Goldstar’s sire is the great Rockstar making him grandson of the outstanding Accoyo herdsire Torbio. That lineage of males is known for consistently producing progeny with beautiful conformation and with fleeces that are fine, dense, nicely locked, and lustrous. That line is definitely prepotent. That prepotency is exhibited in Zoltar. Zoltar has those attributes and to insure that he will be a densely fleeced alpaca, he was born with great folds of skin on him. Yes, he had wrinkled skin! Zoltar's dam Zarina has great genetics in her pedigree, too. It's a wonderful mix that includes some great Accoyo herdsires in Inca, Bruxo, MacGyver, Uribe, and Accoyo Gold. Her first son by USA Peruvian Jaguar was excellent. He was just unlucky to be born the same month as our Black Beau's Comet. Comet was spectacular. Her 3rd male cria was 1st in a competitive juvie class of 6 at the 2019 Nationals at age 7 months. He was sired by Micah. She also has a nice male by Page Master in 2019. Zarina is an excellent producer as she has had 4 really nice crias sired by 4 different males. A sample from Zoltar's 2019 shearing has been submitted for EPDs and look at that histogram! Wow! His density is 71.8 follicles/sq mm, SAFD 18.7 microns, PAFD 22.2 microns, and that's an S to P spread of only 3.5 microns. Zoltar has had solid results in the show ring. He had a fiber break as a juvie and halter shows were only as a shorn yearling. He had nothing but blue ribbons in his previously shorn halter classes. He's been considered for Color Championships, but never won a banner. Fleece shows have been different. He's back to back Light Male Color Champion in 2019 & 2020 at The Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show. He was not only champion at the 2020 AOA National Fleece Show, he also won Judge's Choice. The outstanding results at fleece shows continued with being awarded Suri Network 2022 Spirit of the Industry! Shows are nice, but we are more concerned about the crias he'll sire after all the shows are done. A number of Goldstar sons are now the ones winning the Get of Sires at the shows like AOA Nationals and The Futurity. If Zoltar is like his dad Goldstar, who didn't have but 1 RC banner in his show career, and then later went on to win 20 Get of Sires because of his outstanding offspring, then we'll be happy. Nova is a big female with excellent bone. She has a lustrous, locked, dense, and fine fleece. She was never shown, but surely should have been. She has stud production female written all over her pedigree. She has at least 12 Judge's Choice wins in her pedigree. Nine of those wins are by her sire WLK Electrofyre. The other three are found in the bottom of her pedigree as her dam, Andean Vista's Vanity Fair, was Judge's Choice twice and Vanity Fair's sire, MacGyver's Armed & Dangerous was a Judge's Choice once at a fleece show. Nova's pedigree is a who's who of great Suri alpacas, both males and females. Let's just look at the list of males found in her pedigree. It includes: Ramilo, Phoenix, Baron twice, Amador, Uribe, Viceroy, Kahuna, Electrofyre, Bruxo, MacGyver, Inca, Armed & Dangerous, and Fuego. She's such a great blend of outstanding genetics that we feel it's no wonder she produced such a nice cria her first time around. Of course that cria had two more Judge's Choice wins in his pedigree in the form of his sire HPR Alaskan Gold. Her cria is named Gold's Kosmos and we recommend you keep an eye out for him in the future. Unfortunately, Kosmos was killed in a coyote attack spending the summer in Colorado in 2020. Nova had a 16.2 lb female cria on 7/9/21. The girl was sired by Page Master and it is a multi with a paint pattern. The girl has a beautiful phenotype and her fleece is fine, lustrous, and has nice little icicle locks. We had bred Nova to Klondike for a cria due in 2023 and she gave birth to a 17.6 pound light fawn male on July 3, 2023. He has a great look and beautiful fleece. He is definitely developing into future herdsire material. Nova had a 18.0 lb light fawn male on 9/2/2024. He is gorgeous and has a tremendous amount of fleece on him. We plan to wait until the spring of 2025 to breed Nova again.
