This is a very special guy for us - the last male out of our beloved 4Peruvian White Knight - and he did not disappoint. At three years of age, he showed density of 65.76 follicles per sq mm, an S/P average of 11.8, and a micron spread of only 4.2! At 3 years of age, his AFD was 22.5, and he has retained a lustrous wave to twist lock throughout his years on the farm. His 2024 EPD rankings put him in the top 2% for AFD and the top 1% for SD. Shining Armor has been a big contributor to the development of our herd and you'll see a number of his offspring in our listings.

Description

Lydia is a lovely girl out of our herdsire Shining Armor. She is white with flecks of medium fawn throughout her fleece. She has dark pigmentation and nails so we expect she can produce color. She had a nice boy in 2025 and we have her bred to an up and coming herdsire of ours - Salt River's Yuraq ("Yuri") for a summer 2026 delivery. Lydia has been a great milker and an attentive dam to her first cria. Her fiber stats are impressive and she did well in the shows: Skin biopsy results at 2 years of age: Density: 47.25 S/P Ratio: 10.1/1 P-S Spread: 9.4 (31.7 - 22.3) Lydia scored 18/20 for luster in the 2022 All Suri Fleece Show and garnered a 1st place and Best Bred and Owned in the Multcolor division. The judges comments were "High marks across the card. Very organized lock and brilliant luster."! She is in the top 10% of EPDs for AFD and in the top 3% for SD. Lydia would make an ideal addition to anyone's herd.
