We’re over the moon with Dark Star’s 2025 female cria out of CCNF Tristan! DS is proving to be a valuable producer in our herd. Dark Star’s sire, Ganymede, is the 2017 AOA National Supreme Champion, and her dam is the daughter of the well-known Peruvian import, Royal Fawn. Dark Star’s first cria arrived on 5/23/22 -- a healthy 16.3 pound fawn male out of Zagato’s Zumba. Zenon, was awarded 1st Place and Reserve Champion at his first two shows (at 8.6 months old)!!! He’s growing well in both fleece and conformation, and is now available as a proven Herdsire. Everything about this boy is stellar. See his page for more information. Dark Star produced a beige male cria, Pollux, on 11/4/23 out of Alpaca Palace Legend’s Rising Sun, that’s looking (…and feeling) very promising. His fleece is what I'd describe as "silky" but so was his dam's when she was born, as were all of the offspring from his dam's maternal line. They tend to take some time to develop, but that second fleece is usually filled with character. Unfortunately, Dark Star missed her Spring 2024 breeding due to a uterine infection that had to be treated. So, she was bred to CCNF Tristan in Fall 2024. She produced a show-stopping light fawn female cria in October 2025!! More info coming soon.
