We have decided to offer Smokin Gun for sale. We have his Sire, Dam, sons, this years cria on the way, we want to use his Sire OTT, more this year, so he would be benched for the season. He deserves to be added to another breeding program, that can benefit from his extraordinary traits. What a pleasant surprise when this guy popped out, we were expecting color but not this dark! From day one the quality in this boy was evident, he was small (14 lbs) but mighty. His fleece brightness, tight curls all over and density was impressive. He is line bred with both Foundation and Ascott showing up twice in the pedigree. Smokin Gun was caught out in a terrible storm at about a week old, and got really sick but through perseverance and will power and mega doses of vitamin D3 and vit. C, electrolytes plus and B12 he pulled through. It was around a 2 month + recovery period. But he is a fighter and made it through. His dam Birchleaf Foundations Kanita is our Pride and Joy and has proven her quality time and time again with Championships in both fleece and showring until 3 years old when we retired her after winning Supreme Alpaca at the BIG SHOW - CNASF 2019. His Grand Dam Sunita, was a powerhouse in the showring also, winning multiple Championships in both fleece and in the Showring. His Sire is also a multi Champion in both and is a beast of a male Sired by the outstanding Producer MFI & TNT Peruvian Foundation son of Jeremiah. His advancement of fleece characteristics from ears to knees, with consistency of lock structure and lack of primaries, is our next step to 1 bag shearing :) This Macho has basically no guard hair. Entrinsic is a big bargain at this bred price. Her 2024 cria from Smokin Gun is outstanding. She has been rebred to Smokin Gun for a 2025 cria. She comes from a limited bloodline on her Dams side. Her Dam, IAOC Peruvian Lexi who at 6 yrs old had a histogram of 19.5, 3.6, 18.0, O.7 over 30 micron. We bought her from Dave Sawyer who was one of the original importers of some High quality Peruvian alpacas. Lexi's Dam Qualicum P69 and Sire CPeruvian Ultima (CLAA reg. as Gavin) were both imports. Lexi kept her beautiful appearance until she passed away at 17. She left us with some awesome females to carry on her name. Ultima is the sire of Christopher B who was owned by Champion Alpacas, and won many Championships (against Snowmass) as did his cria. Entrinsic has very dense, BRIGHT, fibre with excellent character, and a very calm disposition, and a good mother with lots of milk. Her sire is the Great MFI & TNT Peruvian Foundation and Gr. Sire on Dams top is MMR Ascott.
