ESTATES PURE GOLDEN HONEY
Honey's sire & dam both produce superior cria, and she will steal your heart! Honey is a favorite due to her amazing phenotype, she has a fully covered but also darling face, and perfect temperament to match. Her fleece is very fine, dense, and has beautiful high-frequency crimp style. It displays great uniformity and brightness. She has perfect conformation with superb coverage and style. Her bite is correct as well. Check her out from top to bottom! You won't believe this total package!
Honey's pedigree includes top Snowmass and Patagonia genetics, as well as two very accomplished grandsires... She is the daughter of Snowmass Pure Passion, our outstanding multi-champion herd sire. Passion represents 30 years of passion in breeding for the perfect-colored fleece on the most beautiful-bodied alpaca. He still carries a micron under 22 with a standard deviation of 4.0 at 16 years of age. Passion has five traits in the top 5% of EPDs. This line is a cornerstone of our program. Passion is a 7x Blue-Ribbon Get of Sire winner & has sired numerous champions, and multi-champions (including 14x Champion & 3x Judge’s Choice winner, Estates Passionate Fever). Her paternal grandsire is Snowmass Matrix who passes on his genetics for high curvature and ultimate fineness. Matrix was the Reserve Herdsire of the Year for Light and Color in 2008, AND Color Herdsire of the Year and Light Reserve Herdsire of the Year again in 2009.
Honey's dam, Estates Hi 5 Golden Blossom continually produces super-fine fleece & uniform fleece. She is a Blue-Ribbon winning daughter of Patagonia's El Galan, our magnificent 4x champion and multiple blue-ribbon winning herdsire out of Patagonia’s Cayo. El Galan has an elegant, soft handle, buttery fleece, and is a strong-boned pure white male. (His daughter, Estates Wedding Tapistry is a 5x color champion and won the Judge's Choice award at the 2017 ABI show.)
With the history of her outstanding sire’s offspring and Honey’s dam (who won First Place Bred and Owned as a Juvenile Dark Fawn at the 2019 CABO), this cutie pie was destined to be on our show string. Honey has done well showing in extremely tough competitions, receiving Best Bred & Owned at the 2024 TxOLAN Bluebonnet Stakes, along with Blue ribbons at the TxOLAN Sweetheart Spectacular & Bluebonnet Stakes shows. In 2023, Honey also won a Reserve Championship banner and multiple first place ribbons (2023 A-OK Alpaca Blastoff, VAOBA Alpaca Expo, VAOBA Fall Derby & Buckeye Alpaca Fall Fest).
Honey is really one of our most beautiful females, we would be sad to let her go, but she would be a fantastic foundation female for any herd.
We selected Snowmass Divine Optics for Honey's next pairing. She is due in May 2026.
Offspring:
On 5/14/25, Honey gave us a stunning medium fawn male sired by multi-champion, Amber Autumn Ringmaster who has produced multiple champions for us.
