She is all white, but as evident by her three lovely offspring, Vesta, Ima Joy and Effie Mae, she can pass on the multi-color gene. All three have won ribbons, with Ima and Effie bringing home multiple 1st and 2nd place ribbons for their lovely fleece. Both of her daughters have already given us lovely crias of their own.

Son of the famous Rose Gray herdsire, Snowmass Casanova and PPPeruvian Halo, Angel is a large boned, impressive alpaca with correct conformation and bite. He has passed on his incredible staple length and fine fiber to his offspring. All his cria are large, heavy boned and beautifully balanced with straight legs and backs. His 2006 cria out of AHR Francesca (also a new addition to the farm) was the Reserve Color Champion at the 2006 VAOBA Expo. We repeated this breeding and are thrilled with the results. Peaceful Heart´s Gabriel has the same lovely color, dense fleece and great conformation of his sire.

Description
Effie Mae catches everybody’s eye when they visit the farm. She has a beautiful pattern of fawn spots and one of the most interesting faces I’ve seen. Effie has a great personality and walks well on a lead. She thinks washing her feet in the water bucket is great fun, so you have to keep it up high enough she can’t step in.
I love Effie’s fleece. Not only does it have great interest with the colors, it has wonderful crimp and a great feel. She won a 2nd place at the 2009 VAOBA Fleece Show, and a 1st place ribbon in the 2010 VAOBA Spin-Off. Her fiber works up into a beautiful heathered yarn.
Effie breeds easily, and it has been fun to see the colors she has produced. Her first cria born in May 2011 was a lovely bay black girl out of our white herdsire Powergrid. Her 2012 male cria Ephraim is a gorgeous dark fawn out of medium fawn, champion producing herdsire, Snowmass Casanova’s Arch Angel.
Effie Mae sells with Ephraim and an additional breeding this fall to any Peaceful Heart Alpacas herdsire. She is also available as a part of a package with another mother and cria.
