Powergrid has fabulous white fiber. He has placed in every show we have entered him, and won top honors out of 93 alpacas in the 2007 Southern Select Handcrafters Spin-Off. His fineness is not a surprise as he is a grandson of the famously fine Peruvian Hemingway. From his dam’s side, he also brings the bloodlines of PPPeruvian Chaparral and Peruvian King. In addition to his fine and dense fiber, he has very correct conformation and excellent coverage. Added to all this is his regal air. Powergrid has done particularly well in spin-offs, and continues to score high as he ages. Judges have commented about his fleece “dense and lofty”, “spun perfectly”, “lovely spinning!” and called the finished yarn “light and lively” and “lovely, bouncy, soft and energetic”. In 2013, Powergrid was ranked number in the ARI EPD program for Standard Deviation of Fiber Diameter. He has been passing on his incredible consistency of fineness to his offspring. Powergrid sired 13 crias, and they are all lovely. His 2008 male cria, Peaceful Heart´s Asa Lee won numerous 1st place ribbons, and in 2011 won Highest Scoring Alpaca in the Brown Color Group at both MAPACA and the AOBA Nationals. His 2009 cria, Peaceful Heart´s Solar Flare also won 1st place in the 2011 MAPACA Spin-off in his class of 9 White Alpacas. We lost Powergrid in late 2013, but we are blessed to have a lot of his fabulous genetics in our herd. You can see the quality of his offspring here and at our farm.

Snow Crystal is a medium sized alpaca with dense, crimpy fleece. She breeds easily, gives birth with no problems and has a good milk supply. An all around great mom. Snow Crystal is a lovely white granddaughter of PPeruvian Demetrio. When bred to white, she has produced 5 beautiful white crias with dense, crimpy, soft fleece. Her first cria, Soft Summer Snow, was the White Female Color Champion at the 2006 TxOLAN Spectacular. Her next 3 crias continue to demonstrate the consistency in the quality of Snow Crystal's offspring. Cria number 5, Pirate's Treasure, has shown a new characteristic of our fantastic mom Crystal. She let the beautiful brown color of our herdsire Tropical Pirate pass through, right down to the cute white band around the ankle. Crystal recently gave birth to another beautiful white male cria from our award-winning herdsire Powergrid. Wind Power was born on October 1, 2010. Currently open, Crystal sells with two breedings to any Peaceful Heart Alpacas herdsire, including our reserve color champion Peaceful Heart's Lord Tennyson.

31423915<--ari-->White<--color-->Lord Tennyson has it all, wonderful bloodlines – Bueno, Caligula, El Patron, The Silversmith; incredible fleece – brilliant white, tight, crimpy bundles; good size and conformation; and incredible presence. Tennyson has inherited the great fleece shearing weight of his sire Lord Byron, like his sire Tennyson shears around 10 pounds. In addition to all these wonderful characteristics, Tennyson is a gentle boy with an incredible sense of presence about him. At the 2009 VAOBA Expo Fleece Show, he was awarded the Reserve Color Championship. Earlier that year, he won First in the light class of the Virginia Classic Walking Fleece Fiber Futurity for the second time in a row. In 2008 he won as the youngest in the class at exactly 6 months of age (and went on to win Best in Futurity), and next year as the oldest in the class, just one day shy of 18 months. He continues to do well in regional and national shows. Lord Tennyson’s first crias hit the ground in 2011, and they are incredible. Tennyson’s Milton has lovely fleece, conformation, and that sense of presence that hints at great things to come. Tennyson’s Becket has all that in fawn, and Timbuctoo has incredible fiber and one of the sweetest faces I’ve ever seen. In 2012, we welcomed Lady Clare (and an almost identical beauty who was born off the farm) and Sir Galahad in the spring and Tennyson’s Arthur and White Owl in the fall. They offer additional proof that Tennyson is producing consistently dense, bright and conformationally correct offspring. You can see his stamp in their adorable ‘teddy bear’ faces and fleece. We were very pleased when Tennyson won First in the 2013 VA Classic Get of Sire. Electric Snow's name was inspired by her parents' names and the brightness of her fleece. She has a beautiful face and wonderful fleece. Her sire Powergrid has won numerous awards for his fabulous fleece, and was recognized in 2012 as the number one male alpaca in the ARI EPD program for his SD of AFD. We are very excited about the quality of the first offspring of our herdsire FG Powergrid (Snow's heritage is 15/16 Peruvian, 1/16 Chilean), and even more so with her ability to pass this quality on to her offspring. Electric Snow ranks in the top 8% of the ARI EPD program for SD of AFD. Electric Snow has a lovely fleece and excellent conformation. We have been impressed by what a wonderful mother she is. Snow and our Reserve Color Champion Peaceful Heart's Lord Tennyson have produced Timbuctoo (born 2011, won 2nd at the 2013 AOBA National Spin-Off) and White Owl (born 2012), both future herdsires with great genetics.
