Misty is calm, easy going girl that gave us the first cria born at Spirited Fields. Misty has a lustrous and fine fleece on a very solid frame. She delivered her maiden birth unassisted and has been a good mom. Her cria "Heidi" needed some supplemental milk until Misty's milk came in fully but Heidi has been growing fast and thriving since then. Unfortunately maiden births are not always "by the book". Misty's second time around she delivered another daughter who was sired by MacGyver's Dark Locke. "Maddie" was born on 7/1/14 and is light brown with a white nose. The delivery was perfect with Maddie weighing in at 20 pounds and being very strong and vigorous from the moment she dried off. Misty displayed great mothering skills. Both daughters, Heidi and Maddie, are expected to eventually join the breeding program here. That makes it necessary to put Misty up for sale to maintain diversity within the herd. You will be getting a proven, reliable foundation female that has no weakness. Besides being an easy keeper and stellar mom, she has maintained a beautiful fleece. The luster, fineness, and lock regrowth are terrific for a 4 year old breeding female. Based on the successful past matching with the MacGyver lines, Misty was bred to MacGyver's son Escalante and confirmed pregnant for an early July, 2015 cria. Misty is also included in a great Suri package. Check it out for a terrific opportunity!

Description

Heidi was our first cria born to the new herd and she's a nice one. She's covered nose to toes in a beautiful, uniform brown fleece. It has good density and a nice handle. She has a really deep pedigree with a good amount of accoyo and tons of color. She was born early on a cold April morning and required supplemental bottles until her dam's milk came in well enough to support her. She's grown fast and thrived since then. A leg injury has kept Heidi from showing, but she gets around just like normal and it isn't expected to impact her breeding career. She will begin breeding in the spring of 2015. Heidi was shorn this year as a yearling and the fleece is terrific. See her attached histogram. AFD of 17.7 microns! Very fine for a colored Suri and nice uniformity as well.
