Alpaca, Huacaya, Bred (Female) | Light Fawn

Sire: Nasa

Nasa

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 832795DOB: 10/3/200123 yrs
NASA sports a dense, fine handled fleece, has great bone, conformation and bite. His fleece qualities are a direct reflection of his lineage, as two superbly fleeced animals were carefully selected to achieve them. His dam, Princess Tierra, has superior density and character throughout her fleece, which was rosy in her youth, and has now become mostly light silver. His sire, Stormy Night, has exceptional character, as well as tremendous volume in his fleece. His grandsire, Peruvian Serono, is well-known for maintaining fleece values with age. NASA himself is blessed with a to-die-for handle, excellent coverage, volume and brightness (and check out his 2004 CV!). And if you wish to improve the bone on your girls, this guy has it all wrapped up in that department. The icing on the cake is his superbly agreeable temperment. NASA is mannerly and a complete pleasure to work with!! We are a small farm and need to bring in additional blood lines to our herd. This asking price is considerably less than NASA sold for as a Juvenile! He is well worth it. Fineness and consistent with throwing grays makes Nasa a superb purchase at this price.

Dam: Glory Be

Glory Be

HuacayaBred (Female)Medium Brown
AOA# 825873DOB: 7/8/200024 yrs
Confirmed pregnant to 6P Royal Gold. This pairing will likely produce a stunning dark cria. Considering what she produced from Royal Fawn, the results could be spectacular. Royal Gold has done a great job pulling grey from females lineages with four grey crias on the ground and only one dam was grey! Glory Be's Sire is a 1/2 Accoyo rose grey. This dam consistently produces show winning, healthy, vigorous crias like clockwork. Never a moment of difficulty from this female or her crias. Glory Be produces black readily, including one of only three true blacks by the renowned Royal Fawn! Who went on to win both at AOBA and OABA. Show quality male cria at side.As a six yr old breeding female her fiber tested at only 23.4m

Service Sire: The Wiseman

Dark Shaddow Son

The Wiseman

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 31486026DOB: 12/24/200816 yrs
Grand River released the information that DARK SHADDOW has been retired. We have loved this male from the 1st time we seen him and have been very happy with his offspring we have seen. Although we are saddened by this news we are happy to have purchased The Wiseman from Grand River. We feel certain he will carry on the excellence of the DARK SHADDOW line. Wiseman is exactly what we were looking for in a Jr. Herdsire. Beautiful dense crimpy fleece with a nice soft handle. Excellent bloodlines with his sire Dark Shaddow who was the 2006 Reserve Herdsire of the Year. His dam is Sweet Magnolia who placed 2nd in a class of 14 behind the color champion in her only show. Wiseman's fleece has exceptional density and staple length with a high frequency crimp. It is as bright as any black I have ever seen. His first histogram was an incredible 17.9 and his third fleece was still under 21 this is not often seen in true blacks. Wiseman's conformation is flawless with big bone, straight top line, with stick straight legs. Wiseman has matured into a very impressive male. He has a very gentle personality and is an excellent breeder. If you like Dark Shaddow and want to add his blood lines to your herd this is a way to do so at a very reasonable fee. Wiseman keeps getting better with age and we expect him to produce some very good show quality cria for us!

Description

An intriguing young lady, in color and genetics. Stardust's dam is a medium brown by a silver gray sire, who has had two true black crias prior to Stardust and has held her 23 micron fiber into her fifth year. Her sire is NASA, a multi-award winning medium rose gray. Although Stardust is registered as light fawn, she has the white face of a gray, along with very dark toenails, eyes and pigmentation. Her conformation is solid and her crias fleece have been very fine and bright, with superb handle and good character. Her latest cria out of The Wiseman is a very pretty medium rose grey! She has the presence of her sire, very upright and proud. She is an excellent mom with the most milk I have ever seen an alpaca have!
