Ren Farms' Joe Louis

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Brown
AOA# 31022637DOB: 5/27/200717 yrs
The 3 lowest micron females on our farm are out of Ren Farms' Joe Louis! Not only that, but at the age of 7 years, he is still holding a 21.5 micron baby grade fleece! His offspring routinely have micron in the 16's-18's, and SD's in the 2's-3's. Many whites can't match that! As a full Peruvian herdsire, Joe is throwing top quality black, fawn & white crias! He is one of those rare dark sires that you can safely take to white girls to try for color, without fearing for loss of quality if the resulting cria is white! Joe is the complete package! "Best handle in the class, best fineness in the class, best density in the class...he has that high frequency crimp that is usually associated with fineness, and that I just don't want to let go of," said Judge Mary Reed in awarding Joe Louis the first place ribbon and Reserve color championship at the 2008 Huron Spring Alpaca Show. We heard similar reviews about this boy throughout his show career. Joe has amazing fineness, density and terrific crimp with an incredible 11 crimps/inch frequency. He has a very uniformly consistent & extremely soft handle. His conformation is flawless, with large-sized bone and perfect proportion. Joe's traits are inherited from his blue-ribbon winning dark brown dam, Anais, who still held a 23 micron (baby grade) at age 11. A very impressive 6 out of 8 of Anais's offspring have won Championships, demonstrating her pre-potency! Joe is passing that long held low micron gene on to his offspring, who are consistently having a dramatic fineness of fleece! Further, he is also passing on his large-boned perfect conformation. 1/2 Accoyo

Serene Selene

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
AOA# 30012272DOB: 6/6/200519 yrs
Selene is a full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo female. During her show career, she received numerous ribbons and high praise from the judges. Her sire, 6Peruvian Accoyo Titan, has produced numerous champion crias, such as Peruvian Lethal Weapon. Selene's crias have some of the greatest density and crimpy bundling on our farm. Because of her phenotype and genetics, and the ability to pass it on to her crias, she is the complete package. Her first cria, Renfarms' May Queen, is a beautiful girl with terrific density & incredible fineness, showing crimpy bundling in her fleece from the time she hit the ground. May Queen took 4 blues and 5 Championships/Reserve championships during her show career! Selene's 2010 cria, Button Bright, is a full sister to May Queen, and is just as well endowed in the areas of crimp, fineness, density and conformation. Button's first micron test revealed an impressive 16.4 AFD. Selene's 2011 female cria, Eleanor, is a stunning girl who also has incredibly dense and well-bundled high-frequency crimp, with strong bone and flawless conformation and a reserve color championship. Selene's 2012 cria was sired by our 20 ribbon-winning brown reserve Champion, Ren Farms' Joe Louis. The goals were to fuse Selene's superior density with Joe's genetic inheritance of long-held low micron. Both parents possess high frequency crimp, large bone & perfect conformtion. Ren Farms' KO by Joe Louis, the 2012 female cria which has resulted from this breeding has exceeded our expectations so far, resulting in a medium fawn cria with a spectacularly soft, dense and crimpy fleece having a brilliant sheen, and undoubtedly lingering fineness. Selene comes with 2 free breedings to your choice of one of our wonderful herdsires. If you're looking to acquire a white foundation female proven to throw offspring in color, as well as throw champions, Selene's your girl.

Description

This beautiful fawn girl is the daughter of our white blue ribbon winning foundation dam Ren Farms' Serene Selene, and our brown 20+ ribbon winning reserve champion herdsire Ren Farms' Joe Louis. This girl is the ideal blend of well-bundled, low micron, dense, high frequency crimp mounted on a large boned frame. Kay's dam, Serene Selene was highly praised for her brightness, crimp and fineness during her show career, with judge Mike Safley describing her fleece as "buttery soft". Kay's maternal grandsire is the nationally recognized Titan, sire to numerous champions. Ren Farms' Joe Louis, Kay's father, carries long-held low micron, manifested in a high frequency vicuna-style crimp. It was to combine these fleece traits that inspired us to perform this breeding matchup, and so far, it appears to have succeeded in spades! The popcorning that is well apparent on the surface of her fleece betrays the magnificent high frequency crimpy bundling that lies beneath it! This girl's dark brown grand-dam carried a 23.0 (baby grade) fleece at age 10, and has passed that lingering fineness trait on to KO's sire, Joe Louis, who at age 7 still holds a 21.5 micron fleece himself - still "Baby Grade"! Should you like to purchase this young beauty, the continued pleasure of showing and breeding her could be all yours! She will make a strong genetic addition to your foundation herd. She will be sold with full reproductive guarantees, and also comes with 2 free breedings to your choice of any of our seven champion herdsires! Add to that 0% financing, and this is as rare a value as you find in the industry today!
