Razzmatazz of Somerset Farm
Alpaca, Huacaya, Herdsire (Male) | White
AOA #32315202 | DOB: 6/6/2012 (13 yrs)
Sire: CF Cuzco
32315202<--ari-->White<--color-->Although we no longer have access to Cuzco for breeding we are leaving him in our active list of males because we still have several of his progeny on the ranch. He has had a profound positive influence on our breeding program.
Would your breeding program benefit from the infusion of solid foundation genetics, fabulous fiber characteristics, and a great temperament? Cuzco's fiber is dense with significant crimp, great staple length, brightness and soft handle. Add a great temperament and you have a real nice package of desirable traits.
OUTSTANDING AND LIMITED GENETICS: Cuzco is sired by AOBA International 2001 Color Champion Eastwinds Andino (818131) a Pachacuti son (both deceased) and out of Chaccuna, our 5Peruvian Chaccu (deceased 2011) daughter, and PPeruvian Vengador granddaughter.
APPEALING PHENOTYPE: Cuzco's well-balanced conformation is correct with nice straight legs and solid bone. His fiber is dense with significant crimp, great staple length, and nice soft handle.
CHECK HIS FIBER STATS: It isn't often that you see the fiber stats of a 9 year old breeding male emphasized but we think you will be impressed. AFD 23.4, SD 4.5, CV 18.6, SF 22.3 %>30 6.3 It is no wonder we turn to him to improve fineness and handle.
PRODUCES COLOR when bred to color...so far 100% of the time.
Cuzco's 2013 histogram for his white male cria Razzmatazz: AFD 16.8, SD 3.7, CV 21.8, %>30 0.6 CF: 99.4
TEMPERAMENT: We believe temperament is highly inheritable and we pay special attention to the temperament of the herdsires we use. Cuzco is very well-mannered and extremely easy to handle, even during breeding.

Qena is one of those females that as a breeder you wish was a male so you could produce more than one cria a year. Take a look at her offspring in this listing. Her contribution to the alpaca fiber industry is outlined in the histograms of her progeny.
A truly superb, feminine female with good body balance, bone, substance and excellent eye appeal. She has a correct bite, exhibiting bright, soft handling fleece with good density and uniform character thru the blanket with high frequency, mid amplitude crimp.
Two of the amazing offspring Qena has produced here at Alpacas of Somerset Farm have been selected to be part of our breeding program. Razzmatazz is a robust male with a solid frame and impressive presence. Razz has a calm and gentle personality he passes on to his offspring. Check him out at http://www.openherd.com/alpacas-for-sale/63888/razzmatazz-of-somerset-farm
Her 2014 female is a beautifully proportioned girl with amazing fleece characteristic and coverage. Her 2018 histogram results are AFD 20.1 SD 4.3 CV 21.7 CF 98.6 Kizzie's details can be found at http://www.openherd.com/alpacas-for-sale/109765/somerset-farms-lattes-miss-kizzie
Her 2017 male cria, Mr. BoJangles is a true black and appears to be destined to attain junior herdsire status. His sire is Crescent Moon's Private Reserve II. Weighing a wopping 21.5 lbs at birth "Bo" sports a solid compact frame supported by straight and strong legs...great substance of bone. He weighed 54 pounds at just 70 days old. His fleece is already displaying the exceptional staple length of his sire.
BoJangles update: 2018 histogram report AFD 15.7 SD 3.6 CV 23.0 CF 99.5 He is a true black.

Description
From his dense, fine and bundled fleece to his solid, compact and well balanced frame, Razz has herdsire written all over him. Add to that his deep foundation genetics (Pachacuti, Chaccu, and Vengador) on his sire's side and Accoyo Yupanqui on his dam's side and you have a complete package.
This boy's fleece has amazing handle and great staple length. His first year histogram: AFD 16.8, SD 3.7, CV 21.8, %>30 0.6 CF: 99.4 Once you plunge your hands into his deep fiber, with an incredible buttery feel, you will not want to remove them. Razz's fiber brings the word "handle" to life.
Looking for lingering fineness? How about these stats from his dam at 7+ years old? AFD 22.9, SD 4.2, CV 18.4, SF 21.8, %>30u 4.6 These results were instrumental in placing her in the top 1% in three fiber categories (see picture).
Then there is the influence from his grand dam Chaccuna (daughter of the great Chaccu) on his sire's side.At 12 years old her histogram results are note worthy: AFD 25.8, SD 4.9, CV 18.8 , SF 24.7, %>30 15.
Then there are her EPD (Expected Progeny Differences) results as a 12 year old production female:
Trait Value Acc Rank
AFD -0.938 0.377 3080 of 27776 In the top 11% in expectation for improving fineness*
SDAFD -0.33 0.376 1817 of 27776 In the top 7% in expectation for lowering micron*
%F>30 -4.5 0.387 2265 of 27776 In the top 8% in expectation for improving uniformity*
MC 2.551 0.376 1955 of 27776 In the top 7% in expectations to create higher frequency of crimp*
%M -1.768 0.186 3131 of 27776 In the top 11% in the expectation to reduce overall fiber medullation*
*than the breed average for all huacaya females and all colors
Yes, that is a fawn spot on his blanket. He also has a smaller spot on the top of his left front leg and left hind leg. He has tremendous potential to serve your breeding program as a white male carrying color.
UPDATE: Razz's first cria is on the ground. A strong and solid male weighing in at 17.5 lbs. See photo.
