Apollo is the perfect example of what we are looking for in a high-quality, seedstock herdsire, with his overall presence, perfectly balanced true-to-type frame, and his exceptionally uniform, dense fleece. To top it off he has an extremely gentle, calm temperament, so we think he's just about perfect! His lineage brings in some of the best genetics in the country, from his sire's Jumanji line to Dorian on his dam's side. His sire Koolassal is a Majestic Meadow's Jumanji son who's offspring are consistently excellent! Judges at virtually every show he attended from Fall 2020 through the end of Spring 2022 were wowed by his presence, stature and fleece characteristics, awarding him a total of 25 blue ribbons, 16 Color Championships, 4 Judges Choice awards, and 7 Reserve Championships including the AOA National Light Male Invited Champions RC, the AOA National Light Male RC and the AOA National Light Male Fleece RC. Siberia was our luck: at the parade of champions 2015 she was # 41 and she was quite sweaty. After sheering the blanket has a weight of 2Lb, for a one year old female...not bad at all. her numbers are not bad too : AFD:15.0, SD:2.5, Cv:16.7 and above 30;0.6 at 3 years of age. in 2020, at 6 years of age : mfd : 17.8 microns, SD : 3.7 microns, CV 20.7%, SF : 17.3 microns, FG30 :1% , CF :99.0%, MSL:71mm , MC : 57.2deg/mm, SDC : 29.8 deg/mm Her lineage is something we were looking after : Daughter of Snowmass Sub-Zero and grand daughter of Lancaster on her dam side. Our breeding idea, at least for the first year is quite precise and well, the future will tell us if we were right. Her first cria from Accoyo of America Kashmir is a lovely female with extremely fine and crimpy fleece ( Shalimar Kashmir Mist) .at 2 years of age she has a Mean Fiber Diameter of 18.9 microns and a comfort factor of 99.6%. Her second cria, from TP Matrix jubilee is a very compact white male ( Shalimar Neroli) at 14 month of age he has a Mean Fiber Diameter of 17.7 microns with a comfort factor of 99.5% Her third cria, born 05/25/2020 ( Shalimar Nahema)is a beige female, from Shalimar Valentino , one of the faster grower of the 2020 class, she has a very nice fleece, following the path of her dam.She is part of our 5 best at the farm. Nahema has been bred for a 2023 cria. Her fourth cria born 07/03/2021( Shalimar Alaska) is a white female from Hilltop's carbon Copy with a lovely fleece, She is a quite big girl with a very similar head and fleece form her dam. Her cria 2023 is a light fawn female from our Shalimar Valentino who always give crias with exceptional fleece. At 10 years old her fleece is still 19.9 micron with a comfort factor of 97.7% and a mean curvature at 54.5 deg/mm She has been bred to Strongshepherd Apollo by Koolossal for a spring 2025 cria.
