You want genetics, Anvil's got them! His sire, Black Beau of PVA, is a 4th generation champion out of Diamonte of PVA who's sire is the great Kobe of PVA. His dam is Eagle Valley Zambia. She is a daughter of the renowned Pucara Kahuna and is a stud production female. Al Cousell at Pucara said Zambia is one of the best Kahuna girls ever produced and that seems pretty likely as she produced the 2018 AOA Nationals Light Male Supreme Champion. Those genetics have also paid off for Anvil because as a late maturer he has developed into a solidly built male of good stature with great conformation and a slick, lustrous fleece. You want science saying the fleece is excellent, Anvil's got it! He has good to excellent fleece data in a skin biopsy, histograms, and EPDs. Anvil's skin biopsy report by Dr. Norm Evans from December 2015 is noted below: “MMALP Beau’s Anvil” was biopsied as a 3 year old medium brown suri male. His ARI# is 32403411. His 15X scan shows fiber clusters that are very uniform in shape and placement within his connective tissue. His density is 52.75 follicles SQ MM of skin and his S/P ratio from 25 fiber clusters averages 12.7 to 1. Note on all scans that 100% of his secondary fibers are medullated as shown by the red spots in the center of the fibers. He shows level 4 of 4 gland structure. One hundred secondary fibers averaged 23.9 microns while 50 primary fibers averaged 36.6 microns. This equates to a micron variation of 12.7 microns." The histogram at age 3 years 8 mos. shows an average fiber diameter of 23.9 microns and a standard deviation of 5.4 with only 8.1% greater than 30 micron. That data is very good for a dark brown male! He started breeding after that 2016 histogram and his fleece became a bit coarser with a 25.5 micron average fiber diameter. Still good for such a dark male that's breeding. That fleece sample was to be included in AOA's EPDs and Anvil is a top 10% male for AFD, SF, and %>30. All 7 categories show he will most likely improve each one at least a little bit in his progeny. Check them out by clicking on the EPDs link. A multitude of attributes you want in crias are found in Anvil. He is a proven herdsire and has a few crias on the ground. The two that are registered are very nice. Anvil is showing he improves upon the females to whom he has been bred. We proudly co-own Anvil with Leslie Rebtoy's Healing Springs Suris.

Spirit is an awesome female! She has great stature, outstanding fiber and density, perfect conformation, loads of luster and a wonderful personality! She is a blue ribbon winner and well deserving according to the judge. She produced 7 lbs of fiber in 2017 with 4.9 lbs of excellent blanket. Her histogram at age 2 had an AFD of 22.3 with SD of 4.3. At age 7 the numbers were 30 and 4.8 respectively. Her fleece has an awesome handle and outstanding luster. The latest histogram was used in the EPD calculations and her EPDs are good. They can be seen by clicking on the EPDs link. Spirit is 1/2 Accoyo and displays the strong conformation and density they are known for and I'm sure she will be passing those strong genetics on to her offspring. She has a beautiful typical Suri head style which adds to her overall appeal. She comes from a line of easy breeders and birthers that have great milk and strong, fast growing crias. Spirit had a 22 lb. male cria sired by Anvil on 5/31/2018. He is a multi with a fark fawn blanket, a white upper neck and head (the head has a brown muzzle, the neck a few brown spots, and the ears are dark), and white socks on all 4 legs. His fleece initially looks like it could be something special and he sure catches your eye with his coloring, his luster, his good size, and his great conformation. Spirit was bred to Bold Ruler and had a 20.6 lb. white or beige male on 6/4/2020. Just like his half brother born in 2018, he's got a great phenotype, outstanding fleece, and great size. Spirit is a great mom with lot's of milk and this boy is growing quickly. He gained a whole pound in his first 24 hours. We have bred Spirit to our herdsire Challenger for a cria due late summer of 2021.

Description

Chrome is the first registered offspring of our herdsire MMALP Beau's Anvil. Chrome is a combination of championship genetics. Anvil's sire is Black Beau of PVA. Black Beau was a 3rd generation color champion at both Nationals and The Futurity. Anvil's dam is the stud production female Eagle Valley Zambia. Zambia is a Pucara Kahuna daughter that has had a number of outstanding offspring including the 2018 AOA Nationals Light Supreme Champion Male. Anvil's pedigree includes the great herdsires Mahogany Prince, Ramilo, Kobe, Diamonte, Black Beau, Amador, MacGyver, Nautilus, and Kahuna. Wow, that's a pedigree loaded with great genetics. The bottom of Chrome's pedigree also includes championship genetics. His dam's sire, Sundance At The Cabin, was the 2005 National Multi-Color Male Color Champion. Chrome's dam, Enchanted Spirit of DVAR, is 1/2 Accoyo and the great herdsires Abel, Elar, and Uribe are all in her pedigree. Chrome's very good size and stature along with great substance of bone are as much a result of Spirit's great size and conformation as it his sire Anvil's attributes. Spirit is a large female that produces a great amount of fleece each year. Check out Chromes's estimted EPD rankings using the link. Chrome is flashy with his great multi-color look. He has great luster to his fine micron fleece that has tiny little icicle locks found consistently across his body. He stands proudly with a big solid build and great substance of bone. His conformation is exemplary and includes a great Suri head style. We are expecting him to do well in the multi-color classes when he is shown. He'd be a great addition to your show string at a very reasonable price! Contact us if you're interested.
