In 2010, he took a 2nd to his brother Snowmass Matrix Elite in two shows, International Alpaca Odyssey and the Futurity, with the judges stating that Matrix Elite was denser but Pure Passion finer. Correctly so, as you see in his 5th fleece which measures 17.0 AFD. PATAGONIA'S CAPRICIA Capricia's line is known for lasting fineness. Her sire, Patagonia's El Vasco has a beautiful fleece that is fine and full of tight crimp. A skin biopsy by Dr. Evans ranked El Vasco in the top 1% in density (70 follicles SQMM. SP ratio: 13 to 1). At age 10 he was maintaining a 23.6 AFD. Capricia's paternal grandsire is the exotic Patagonia's Neruda, who sold for over $200,000 at the 2007 Futurity Auction. Capricia's dam, Patagonia's Nitika comes from two outstanding multi-champion parents. Her sire is our legendary multi champion brown herdsire, Patagonia's Lennox. His fleece is soft, fine, dense, exhibits high frequency crimp and is bright. Lennox, an 8x color champion is proving himself in the show ring again through his award-winning progeny. Capricia's maternal grandam is Patagonia's Black Rose, a true black Nishio daughter. Black Rose is a 6x Black female Champion and has won multiple blue ribbons.
