**2025 UPDATE** It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sammy due to a urethral blockage. We are devastated over this loss! We do not currently have ANY of his offspring in our herd and that is such a shame. We do have one female, Lyra, bred to Sammy for a 2025 cria and we hope it is a fantastic one! Sammy had come such a long way since he arrived on our farm. He was very shy, but had really come out of his shell and was one of our sweetest boys. _________________________________________________________________________ Sammy was an excellent addition to our herdsire row and HE IS AWESOME! Dense, fine, lustrous fleece that is eye-catching and beautiful to touch. Sammy's sire, Belmonte's September Sun Shine, recorded a stunning density on his biopsy!! Check out Doctor Evans' findings: Belmonte's September Sunshine was biopsied at 20 months of age. The density is 90 follicles per SQ MM of skin with an average S/P from 25 clusters of 11.1 to 1. The presence of triad fiber clusters which in my work is associated major genetic density. 100 secondary fibers averaged 16.1 microns and 50 primary fibers averaged 22.1 microns for a variation of 6 microns. These stats are in the top 0.5% of suris that I have evaluated. Sammy's dam, BBFAI Mountain Mist, is the full sister to 2017 AOA National White Champion male, BBFAI Mont Alejandro. Alejandro sired the 2020 Suri Light Female and AOA National Supreme Champion!!! The genetics this male is carrying are extremely promising! We are so excited to get him proven in 2021, as he still has some growing to do, but we can't wait to see what he will produce for us! We have several outstanding females to pair with him...stay tuned!!! Sammy was biopsied on August 1, 2020 and we are anxiously awaiting his results.... **UPDATE** Biopsy results are back!! Wow!! Are we pleased!! DENSITY: 76.8 follicles/ SQ MM S/P RATIO: 11.4:1 Avg. Secondary Fibers: 16.8 microns/ SD : 1.9 Avg. Primary Fibers: 19.8 microns/ SD: 2.2 Micron Variation (SPREAD): 3.0 microns!! Evaluation per Ian Watt: These are very good numbers for a suri male! The density is not only high but the fiber populations are remarkable uniform and fine brought about by the high density and better-than-average S/P ratio. This male can be used with confidence on a wide range of quality females....

This girl is exquisite! She has gorgeous, high luster deep copper maroon fiber that just glistens. It is extremely silky with excellent fineness, shines like a light, and is covered from the tips of her ears down to her toes. She has excellent conformation, as evidenced by her Championship at her first show! We expect her to be a great producer of champion crias and champion fiber. Marengo is the daughter of multiple Champion, Sierra Bonita's Macgyver's Hotazel and WRSR Marakesh by Jimbobway. She comes from a long line of full Peruvian champions and champion producers, with significant dark color genetics in her background. Both Hotazel and Marakesh have wonderful easy-going personalities and Marakesh is an excellent mother and breeder. Marengo has learned well, and is following in her footsteps in the PR category as well, rounding out her high value as both a top quality show and production female, as well as the friendly farm visitor greeter and companion. Amazingly, Marengo is just as sweet when she is pregnant as she was when open! Love this little girl! We have currently chosen to keep Marengo as a key foundation female. Marengo was bred to our Judge's Choice Winner, Avanti, for a May 2018 cria. She delivered a white female on 6/10/18, "WRSR Horizon by Avanti", with great promises of a wonderful winning show career. She has the same personality as her dam, and she too has become someone's priceless addition and farm favorite. Marengo was rebred to our newest herd sire, PIVAL Son's Revelation, and she delivered a bright white female cria, WRSR Joy by Revelation, on 6/28/19. Joy has beautifully locked fine fiber with density and is a beauty to behold! She was bred to Revelation for another gorgeous cria in June 2021 and she produced a beautiful beige male with fawn ears, WRSR Zacharias by Revelation. Marengo is bred to PIVAL Poseidon of Grace, a spectacular black & white pinto with award winning fleece. She will be due summer of 2022.
