Sizlin Rose also won 2016 Huacaya HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR & 2017 RESERVE HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR. Sizlin Rose’s offspring have been awarded nearly as many banners as the number of his offspring (180+.) He has produced numerous AOA Supreme Champions. Troy's maternal grandsire, 382 Peruvian Zephyrus, is a 10x Color Champion including 2005 FUTURITY RESERVE HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR! In Troy, we are not only getting Sizzlin Rose but the prepotent genetics of stud-dam Tehya. Troy's maternal great grandsire is none other than full Accoyo PPPeruvian Royal Fawn. Hand selected by the late Dr. Jim Vickers; Royal Fawn was the only light fawn Accoyo ever exported from Don Julio Barreda’s herd. According to Barreda, Royal Fawn ranked as one better than he had ever produced at Estancia Accoyo in Peru. PPPeruvian Royal Fawn was the 1999 & 2000 Get-of-Sire winner at the AOBA National Show & record-breaking highest selling male in alpaca history in October 2005. Tehya, Troy’s dam, has produced top-notch herdsires such as: Troy (Sizlin Rose,) Terrill (El Principio,) Taylor Made (Eclipse,) Turbo Tribute (Silver Signature,) Duke of Earl (Eros,) & Thunderstruck (Ameretto.) Showing the magnitude of the prepotency from his sire & dam’s genetics. Troy is exactly the exceptional herdsire expected from this prestigious pairing & premier ancestry. His phenotype displays extreme coverage, thick bone (tree trunk legs,) a broad chest, correct conformation & stellar head style. His legs are straight & bite correct. A very dense, true black fleece covers his compact & stout frame. That velvety fleece opens into a very uniform, bright fleece, displaying a beautiful consistent crimp style & very few large primary fibers. Troy has a wonderful temperament & is always ready to breed. Many of his daughters are retained in our herd & we are pleased to see Troy’s influences passing though his offspring to their cria. His son, Amber Autumn Ringmaster is in our stud row. Troy is throwing about 50% black or grey cria across all dams.

Skyline’s Daphne is an amazing Light Fawn/Beige female that was a real surprise for us given that her Dam’s Sire is True Black, LMFI Peruvian Black Midnight, and Daphne’s Sire, Skyline’s Francisco, is Medium Sliver Grey and a son of a grey dam, HDF Francy and a black sire, Snowmass Nova’s Nuance! I remember when she was born I thought, A light Fawn, REALLY! But Daphne is a very impressive gal that has awesome genetics and a beautiful dense, fine and crimpy fleece! Her ancestors include: Snowmass Nova, PPeruvian Felix, Incan Magic, Peruvian Jericho, Peruvian Black Pearl, Victor’s Vic Jr., Pacific Crest Camilio’s Phoenicia and Altiplano Gold! That is an impressive line-up. Daphne was born late in our season and was not cria shorn so we chose not to show her, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t impressive. As she has matured, we appreciate her even more. She is a fading light fawn so parts of her fleece are Light Fawn, but other parts are Beige. We love her crimp and her amazing brightness. We would love to keep Daphne, but we have her Dam and Sire, so with too many females on the farm, we reluctantly are placing Daphne on our sales list. You won’t be disappointed with this female as she has deep color in her pedigree, and she will bring wonderful fiber characteristics to a colored breeding program. With only 225 days of growth, Daphne’s Juvenile fleece had an impressive 4” of growth!
