**2025 UPDATE** It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sammy due to a urethral blockage. We are devastated over this loss! We do not currently have ANY of his offspring in our herd and that is such a shame. We do have one female, Lyra, bred to Sammy for a 2025 cria and we hope it is a fantastic one! Sammy had come such a long way since he arrived on our farm. He was very shy, but had really come out of his shell and was one of our sweetest boys. _________________________________________________________________________ Sammy was an excellent addition to our herdsire row and HE IS AWESOME! Dense, fine, lustrous fleece that is eye-catching and beautiful to touch. Sammy's sire, Belmonte's September Sun Shine, recorded a stunning density on his biopsy!! Check out Doctor Evans' findings: Belmonte's September Sunshine was biopsied at 20 months of age. The density is 90 follicles per SQ MM of skin with an average S/P from 25 clusters of 11.1 to 1. The presence of triad fiber clusters which in my work is associated major genetic density. 100 secondary fibers averaged 16.1 microns and 50 primary fibers averaged 22.1 microns for a variation of 6 microns. These stats are in the top 0.5% of suris that I have evaluated. Sammy's dam, BBFAI Mountain Mist, is the full sister to 2017 AOA National White Champion male, BBFAI Mont Alejandro. Alejandro sired the 2020 Suri Light Female and AOA National Supreme Champion!!! The genetics this male is carrying are extremely promising! We are so excited to get him proven in 2021, as he still has some growing to do, but we can't wait to see what he will produce for us! We have several outstanding females to pair with him...stay tuned!!! Sammy was biopsied on August 1, 2020 and we are anxiously awaiting his results.... **UPDATE** Biopsy results are back!! Wow!! Are we pleased!! DENSITY: 76.8 follicles/ SQ MM S/P RATIO: 11.4:1 Avg. Secondary Fibers: 16.8 microns/ SD : 1.9 Avg. Primary Fibers: 19.8 microns/ SD: 2.2 Micron Variation (SPREAD): 3.0 microns!! Evaluation per Ian Watt: These are very good numbers for a suri male! The density is not only high but the fiber populations are remarkable uniform and fine brought about by the high density and better-than-average S/P ratio. This male can be used with confidence on a wide range of quality females....

Arcona's Divine Revelation

SuriBred (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 3601083DOB: 10/21/20195 yrs
Divine is the product of 2 of our favorite suris: Revelation and Gianna. We bred our prized Gianna to Arcona Alpacas PIVAL Son's Revelation to produce this super dense and fine beautiful fawn female, Divine. We purchased 1/2 interest in Revelation after the breeding, then sold Gianna .to Arcona Alpacas where Divine was born. Divine is compact but carries loads of fine fleece. She has well-balanced conformation and a very typey suri head. Her first show will be MAPACA Jubilee in 2021 because of Covid show cancellations, and we are excited to see her results. Divine's Grand Dam is our beloved foundation dam, Sakari, who continues to produce multiple champions for us. Sakari may look just like another white female, but her production record is impeccable, producing multiple champions and our 2010 MAPACA Judge's Choice winner, WRSR Accoyo Allegiance's Avanti. She has proven that she is a top foundation dam, with the ability to produce color, fineness, density, and great conformation. She has great mothering skills, gets bred quickly and delivers easily, and has remained very healthy for the years she has been on our farm. Sakari passes all the key traits we are trying to breed into our herd. Sakari's sire is LCA Accoyo Kotzebue, who's sire Accoyo Starbuck arrived in the 1st or 2nd Accoyo import. Kotzebue was known for his lock, high luster, and fabulous density. Fox Run's Divinity, her dam, exhibits a feather-soft handle and beautiful luster to her fleece. Her conformation, substance and coverage are exceptional, and she possesses the wedge-shaped "typey" bearded suri head and dense topknot so sought after in today's suri market. Divinity's dam was the powerhouse producer Peruvian Mindy May, and her sire is the magnificent pinto herdsire Masked Bandit Jax. Divine's Sire is 6X champion PIVAL Son's Revelation (Revie) who is co-owned with Arcona Alpacas. Revie is the 2012 AOBA National Champion, who's Sire is the one and only PIVALS' BLAZEN SON, one of the most decorated Suris in the country and his Dam, ACCOYO MARTHA, who was totally undefeated in the show ring. Both parents are National and Futurity Champions. Check out their page listings on OpenHerd! Divine was bred to Top 1% EPD herdsire 3 years in a row, SOFF Samuel, owned by Honey Maple Farms. We can't wait to see this cria in JUne 2023! Contact Patti at 443-740-4240 mobile/text for more information.

Description

Glory was a big cria. Weighing in at 23 lbs, she was up and running quickly. Glory is a lovely female that will make anyone a great foundation female. I’m regretting not taking her to the one show I was able to attend this year. Show her this fall and next spring on your shoestring. Her dam, Divine is a ribbon winning female and Glory was her first cria. Glory’s grandsires read like a who’s who of top suri males. LFA Accoyo Belmonte, HHSF Accoyo Lafitte’s Mont Blanc, PIVAL Son’s Revelation and SBS Crown Prince . Her sire, SOFF Samuel was in the top 1% of 5 EPD. He has extreme lock and luster regrowth.
