Lakota is out of TWO appaloosa parents. Is he homozygous? We think so. His first kids hit the ground in 2020 and all were spotted. We bred a number of females to him for the 2021 season along with some outside breedings and he delivered every single darn time. We love Lakota for his sturdy frame, very solid fleece character (fineness, density and character) and sweet temperament. He has a nice array of spots to share and so far he has shared them well. Did I mention his fleece quality? Its noteworthy. And he passes it along. We have some amazing kids to preview and photos will be posted shortly. Belle is becoming a very special little girl. I just love that she inherited Billabongs conformation, cute spotty markings and that "Teddy Bear" head. Since shearing we can see all the new spots appearing in her lovely fleece. She has super good staple, crimp and fineness. I can see her becoming a real asset to an appy breeding program. I will never forget Jude's comments at her first show, after her reasonings she added, "and she is just cute as a button"! I have to agree. Belle's fleece was shown at the 2017 NWSS and won a blue ribbon at 3yrs old. Still retaining her fineness at 19 microns.
