Top Knot has matured into an impressive herdsire whose genetics continue to strengthen our breeding program. He carries award-winning fleece noted for density, brightness, and uniformity, along with unique brown and black spotting and subtle grey shading on his nose. His sire is a respected harlequin herdsire, and his pedigree is further supported by his older half-sibling, Alpaca Rainbow Ranch’s Alchesay, well known for producing offspring with excellent fiber and strong conformation. Top Knot’s quality was recognized with First Place in the Multiple Color Yearling Walking Fleece category at the 2023 AOA Nationals under Judge Arturo Peña. His histogram results confirm the strength and consistency of his fiber. He has already produced offspring in a variety of colors, with one standout being his 2025 cria, Checkmate Gambit, a striking harlequin with exceptional fleece. Talen Ranch is proud to stand Top Knot as a herdsire and welcomes inquiries from breeders seeking proven fiber quality and distinctive genetics. Can drive by if PNW.

Excellent Producer!

Bristol of MaRs

HuacayaFemaleWhite, Light Fawn
AOA# 35566670DOB: 8/19/20196 yrs
Bristol from MaRS is the first offspring of AspenAlpacas Highpoint, and she is a breathtaking beauty! Bristol’s fleece is incredibly bright and has a consistent high-frequency crimp across the entire blanket. It also boasts an impressive staple length and excellent coverage. Her density is notable as well. She has a well-balanced, square, and compact frame with correct conformation and heavy bone. Her bite is also correct, and her head style is pleasing. Bristol has produced incredible results when bred to Wahoo from MaRS, and as a result, Alpacas from MaRS have repeated the breeding for a third time, with the expected arrival of a cria in August 2024. Now, we at Talen Ranch are excited to have Bristol on our farm and cannot wait to see what she and Wahoo bring to us this summer! Stay tuned for more updates!

This maternal line is recognized for brightness, density, and structural strength. On his sire’s side, Top Knot contributes award winning fleece noted for density, brightness, and uniformity, with the added uniqueness of harlequin genetics showing brown and black spotting and subtle grey shading. His pedigree is further supported by his half sibling Alpaca Rainbow Ranch’s Alchesay, well known for producing offspring with excellent fiber and conformation. Top Knot’s quality was acknowledged with First Place in Multiple Color Yearling Walking Fleece at the 2023 AOA Nationals under Judge Arturo Peña, with histogram results confirming the consistency of his fiber.
