An up-and-comer boy at the ranch these days is our KCF Moonshine. This was the maiden voyage for our recently designated herdsire, KCF Mad Max. And young Moonshine has proven that it will not be the last for Mad Max; Good Job!! The judges are backing us up on this one. The Fawn Male Color Champion at PAOBA 2022 was the latest accolade, where the judge reiterated the sentiments of the judge at NEAOBA - one of the softest handling and most uniform fleeces they have felt in a long time. We will take that and run with it! It truly is just as they say. Even though Moonshine has the classic vicuna pattern going that many gray wannabe's exhibit, his fleece remains very consistent from front to back and top to bottom. And the handle is remarkable and lets you know in a hurry that his CV is very low. Ask for a fleece sample, no gooner's there.... Moonshine's first crias have arrived! Thier fleeces are bright, fine, and have a wonderful handle! So far, we have a medium fawn, true black, and what I believe to be a roan. If you're breeding for fineness, this is your guy! Of the three offspring we had tested, micron ranges were from 14-17 microns.
