• Proudly Co-Owned with Timberland Alpacas • Dr. Jeri Booher writes: The genes of Hemingway are very evident in Valedar, and he is very close to being the splitting image of his grandsire. He is one of the densest juveniles to ever be produced from TIMBERLAND ALPACAS, and at five years of age, retains a fleece micron count of 19. Valedar's crias are doing very well in the show ring, and exhibit that wonderful Hemiaccoyo™ fleece with locks dividing up into tiny bundles, lots of brightness, crimp and fineness. A Valedar daughter was recently the highest selling female at the Parade of Champions Auction at $80,000. Despite his white color, Valedar does possess the colored genetics to throw color in his progeny, especially when bred to a colored female. Valedar very proudly wears the designation as one of the main foundation herdsires for Timberland Alpacas.
VALEDAR WILL PERMANENTLY RESIDE IN INDIANA.
Timberland values Valedar's cria so highly, that the majority of his female cria have been integrated into their highly successful breeding program. In the 2007 Herdsire Edition (Page 153) of Alpacas Magazine, Timberland states: "Victor's Valedar has always imparted fineness to his offspring, and at eight years old, still boasts a 21-micron, high-frequency fleece. The female offspring out of Valedar make great foundation females because of their fineness, have the ability to produce a very high frequency crimp, even if bred to herd sires that show a wide variety of crimp styles. Timberland has rarely sold its Valedar females, and has retained most of them as its foundation stock." He is a premier son of Victor (deceased) and will be available for LIMITED (10) outside breedings.

Armando was recognized at the National AOA Show in March of 2018 for being ranked #10 for spin Fineness in the nation out of 22,959 males at the incredible age of 12! Make us an offer that we can't refuse on one or more alpacas during our Retirement Herd Dispersal Sale! Only $500 down on Armando and you can start breeding some great genetics into your herd. Then pay $500 per breeding or $2500 per year for two years, whichever is more until he is paid off. You will need to fully insure him for his outstanding balance each year. Armando, a Victor grandson,full Peruvian and 5/8/Accoyo, was one of the lowest micron studs in the Ideal Alpaca Program and Ranked #3 in 2014 for fineness and #2 in 2013, #11 in 2015 and #10 in 2017 for spin fineness in the AOA EPD program and also extremely dense . In 2014 he was in the top 1% in six of the nine EPDs and top 2% in one other. This is quite an accomplishment for a nine year old breeding stud. In 2013 he was ranked #2 in both micron and spin fineness! He is built very sturdy on a compact frame and possesses good conformation. His genetics run deep with Victor's Valedar as his sire, Pperuvian Victor as grandsire and Peruvian Hemingway his great-grandsire on the top side. On the bottom side he has Pperuvian Hemingway as his great-grandsire. He has not only maintained incredible lingering fineness, but also uniformity of fiber,curvature, % under 30 microns and lack of medullation through his eleventh shearing! Mike Safley evaluated Armando and commented that he was very nice for his age and would make a great stud for a colored breeding program after noticing his small brown spot on his topknot on an otherwise all white fiber coverage. Our experience in breeding him is that he throws white or light fawn cria even when bred to dark browns. Armando's EPD 2017 Results: As of his 12th shearing, Armando is in the top 1% and off the charts on fineness- ranked #27 in the nation, spin fineness- ranked #10 in the nation, lack of medulation and %>30M, top 5% on Curvature and in uniformity of fiber (SD), and despite a shorter staple length still is in the top 31% in fleece weight. Armando also has very high accuracy ratings for his EPDs.
