Sara is a lovely, feminine female with soft true black fiber and a black/grey color pedigree. She is a problem free, attentive mother with ample milk AND, has had 4 girls out of 6 pregnancies! As if that wasn't enough, 4 of 5 crias have been true black when bred to black or grey males. Her first cria in 2000, Avalon's Mystic Melody is a medium fawn with white markings and crimpy fleece by our white herdsire, AFA Peruvian Nevar. This youngster, Avalon's Maestro, appears to have the crimpy, soft, dense fleece we were hoping to get from this match. Unfortunately, Maestro has scarring on his cornea, so we have decided not to list him as a herdsire prospect. However, we think he will make a highly valued fiber producer.
