How many gray herdsires are out there who have produced offspring winning over 80 BANNERS, over 160 BLUE RIBBONS, and still producing CHAMPIONS?
Orlando Cloud is a stunning male who has without a doubt helped boost the quality of gray huacayas to new heights. So often a male shines for a few years, and then is overtaken by higher quality. Not so with Orlando. In 2008 his offspring began winning top honors, and since then at almost every large show his offspring, and now grand kids and great grand kids, continue to bring home banners and blues. Gray Alpaca Co. recently had four Orlando offspring in a row, and this group is simply outstanding. We can't wait to see them in the show ring.
At the October Empire Extravaganza in Syracuse, NY, his offspring won two CHAMPIONSHIPS, including Gray Championship in fleece, and a RESERVE CHAMPIONSHIP, along with 4 Blue Ribbons. He continues to stamp out high quality crias.
Orlando's accomplishments are many, and he was named HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR 2013, and 2014. This award is based on the number of points accrued by winning offspring at MAPACA, to date the largest show in 2013.
Here is the new standard for gray! Orlando stands above the rest with his consistent, dense architecture from his tail to his topknot. The judges have raved about this male from the time he hit the show circuit, and his offspring are now following in his footsteps with multiple Championships and Reserve Championships. When bred to gray or black his cria's colors have been primarily gray, and he has also shown the ability to throw gray out of fawn. Orlando's stud fee is $5,000, with generous discounts for drive by breedings. For details please contact Nancy at

Summer 2022 - Oro continues to exceed expectations with the offspring we are getting! A stunning dark female (not sure if she is black or DSG) has hit the ground and WOW! Topping it off with his son, Rascal, winning "Best Head" in Ohio, and daughter, Shasta (another dark female!) landing in championship round in her color class...2022 has shown us some great things with the Oro kids so far!
________
Summer 2021 - Oro's first offspring have hit the ground and WOW. Both male and female are just stunning! A rich dark chocolate brown female is sure to be a winner and the fawn male is going to be tough to beat in the ring we think. Take a closer look at the pedigree this guy offers and you will see why we are excited for his next generation offspring!
________
March 2018 - This male continues to impress. Placing third at Nationals was an amazing feat for this male. Competition was incredible and Oro didn't back down at all - rather he stepped up to all those males and stayed strong in a class of 11 and took his place proudly with the judge saying that he well deserved his ribbon. He continues to mature and his conformation, density, fineness is all there - he is the package for sure! Awesome male!
_________
**Update Nov 2017 - it's a Reserve Championship for this young male at the OK show! This doesn't surprise us as this male is powerpacked with genetics. It is thrilling to watch him develop into a yearling and we can't wait to see him mature into a breeding male.

What do you get when you cross amazing genetics of Bisturi, HemiAccoyo lines, LB Castano Bay, and PCA Accoyo El Nino? You get this guy!
This male has such dense fiber it is difficult to part it. We aren't concerned that he is a fawn from a brown and a grey...most breeders know that is the secret to throwing greys in the future...heeheehee.
Pay closer attention to this one, after all...SpringToo Jamahl x Bisturi's Persephone doesn't come along too often!
No doubt, the sire - SpringToo Jamahl - passes the baton to his son and hands this young man his own bragging rights.
But look a little closer at the dam and you will see that she quietly has her own crown of jewels herself. The daughter of FDA Bisturi's Persephone - an amazing grey - is well known for producing top shelf females. She didn't disappoint this time either. Add in the well balanced lines of the crossed "hemiaccoyo" mergings and you have some amazing marriages of traits for the next generations.

2021 Update - it's an awesome little girl for SpringB x Oro! Whoo hoo! She is gorgeous! Congrats to the pending new owner!
_____
**SpringB delivered a stunning brown son! We spot a paintbrush stroke of grey on his back leg so we aren't sure what is going on there. Perhaps he will change colors after he is shorn? Regardless, he is strong, sturdy, and wonderfully dense yet fine. Can't wait to see how he develops! Well done with this one! SpringB is bred to Oro for a 2021 Summer offspring.
_____
This girl is simply fabulous!!! She's exactly the kind of girl to put at the foundation of a quality breeding program.
Spring Bouquet is the product of iconic genetics; Orlando Cloud, Acero Marka's Mr Know It All, Aussie Rockford, Guellermo, Felix, Carmen Cloud, Victor, and Hannahruh, just to name some of her illustrious family.
Emerald Farm's Orlando Cloud offspring were first shown in 2008, and to date they have won over 80 Color Championships/ Reserve Championships, and over 160 Blue Ribbons!
Orlando was the MAPACA Herdsire of the year in 2012 and 2013.
Spring's maternal line is grey, grey, grey... with Champions galore! Aussie Rockford, Michela's Sweet Ariel, Hannaruh, Grace's Visions of Sugarplum (Victor's Julius' dam).
Whew! Positively heady!
Spring's fleece has retained fineness and consistency over time. We're delighted with her 2014 numbers. At 6 years old, she returned:
AFD: 22.3 µ
SD: 4.9 µ
CV: 22.0 %
CF: 92.8 %
Curve: 42.5 Dg/mm
Staple: 70.0 mm
Even at age 6, this fleece has yummy fineness, combined with good density, beautiful zipper crimp, a gorgeous hand and good staple length.
Her second fleece earned her a much deserved Reserve Championship. It was later sold to Our Back 40 for their incredible yarn.
It is a sumptuous rosey brown. As a grey breeder, I keep thinking, "Well, maybe if I turn it just right in the light..."
Before she was retired from the ring, to the breeding pens, Spring put in a stellar performance in both halter and fleece shows. She earned a Reserve Color Championship in the ring and another one in fleece.
Even at 6, Spring looks wonderful. She has no conformational flaws, a perfect bite and is in continued perfect health.
She's an easy birther, and a great dam... always plenty of milk and no nonsense bonding.
Spring just gave us her third cria... a soft as fairy dust daughter out of Zeppelin. She has grey running through her blanket and on her ears. A lovely, well grown girl.
Here comes the icing on the cake. Spring is bred to 9x banner winner, Annual's Bea-2 Bomber for an August 2, 2015 cria.
Bomber was awarded the Color Championship at AOBA Nationals two consecutive years, and a Reserve Color Championship in fleece... second only to his sire, the incredible, .38 Special!
